Brandon Ivory, a 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive lineman from East High School in Memphis, will sign next week with Alabama, his high school coach said this morning.
"He decided late last night," East High coach Marcus Wimblerly said.
Ivory committed to the University of Memphis early this month but visited Alabama last weekend and came away with a scholarship offer. He is expected to play nose guard for the Crimson Tide.
Don Kausler, Jr: Memphis DL Brandon Ivory will sign with Alabama, his high school coach says
Good news on Ivory because we really could use some more size at the nose guard position, and in all fairness he does look to be a solid prospect. Admittedly, though, unless Ivory accepted a greyshirt offer -- which is possible -- this means that we have missed on someone else or that one of the current commitments has let the staff know they will not sign with Alabama come next Wednesday. As for who it would be if that were the case, I would imagine it's probably Calvin Smith, but then again maybe not. We'll keep an eye on this one.

Good for him!
Memphis is such a basketball town. The football players at U of M get no respect! He will really enjoy his time at Alabama for so many reasons!

So
do you guys think he redshirts or plays this year? With Kerry Murphy and Josh Chapman we should be good at his position for now.
This upcoming season I'm gonna refer to Julio Jones as "The Magic Man" and Trent Richardson as "El Diablo"
