BamaOnline's Chris Walsh asked Star Jackson directly about transfer rumors today. The answer: "That might come up. I'll think about it."
I would certainly hate to see Star go because he's a good kid and a talented player to boot, but it seems like it might be only a matter of time. Admittedly, with McCarron seemingly passing him on the depth chart and Greg McElroy still having a year of eligibility left -- which is to say nothing of Philip Sims' arrival -- I'm afraid that the odds look very low of Jackson ever getting the starting job (barring a major rash of injuries), so if he really wants to start, then perhaps a move may be in his best interest. If nothing else, though, I hope he at least sticks around through Spring practice and gives things one more shot.

…whatever he may decide. I do not think he will ever see time as a BAMA QB. Maybe as a slot receiver but not QB.
Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs
meh..... i wish him the best and am appreciative of his efforts while he was here
but i think it’d be selfish and short sighted for any Bama fan to begrudge the guy an opportunity to go be the #1 guy somewhere.
he is simply going to be BURRIED on the depth chart once sims enrolls this monday/ it only makes sense. i hope he enjoys this BCS title game experience and then goes somewhere and makes a hell of a lot of noise. (i think App St needs a new QB, so does FAU. he can walk into those spots)

I watched that video, too
he and AJ both talked about how good their relationship was. it sure did sound like he wasn’t going anywhere. but, I’d like a sound bite on him being “directly” asked.
so easy... even an Auburn fan can do it!
His choices:
Be a role player on a great team. Be a starter on a lesser team. Pros and cons to both.
