Is Bama in unchartered waters?
Looking at the final AP rankings, I wanted to ask, if anyone knows, is Alabama the first team to finish number one in the AP poll with victories over both the number two (Texas 13-1) and number three team (Florida 13-1) in the final AP poll? I know we're the first SEC team to go 14-0 and we've posted victories over five top 20 teams (Texas, Florida, Virginia Tech, LSU, and Mississippi), but has anyone ever defeated both the final number two and number three teams?

Florida . . .
beat the #2 team (Ohio State) in the BCS Championship Game and the #3 team (LSU) during the regular season in the 2006-07 season — http://espn.go.com/college-football/rankings/_/year/2006/seasontype/3 .
Nope...
Florida did it as recently as 2006. Beat no. 2 finisher OSU in the BCS game after beating no. 3 LSU in the regular season. This is likely to happen any time the two best teams in the country land in the same conference.
Let's be honest here ...
The SECCG WAS the national championship game! Anyone who buys into the poll saying the lizards are No. 3 is delusional. We won with a lame QB against a top defence and just imagine what would have happened had we been able to test the hornies secondary. Maybe next year!
But he waws definitely damaged.
He is a total stud to be playing with broken/cracked ribs. I did that once and there is nothing you can do that doesn’t hurt. To take the pounding he did —-Well.
If he was healthy Texas gets blown out in the first half and there is no comeback
