With Bama fans still delirious from the national championship afterglow, the Bama basketball team went on the road to LSU for its SEC opener and delivered an impressive 66-49 victory to improve to 11-4 on the season, 1-0 in SEC play.
I won't step on MacT's toes with a game recap, but suffice it to say for now that we dominated throughout, especially on defense, to power our way to a very important SEC road win. Picking up road wins against teams like LSU is a good recipe for getting us to the dance.
The other part of that recipe is winning against the SEC's best teams at home, and I really believe Vanderbilt qualifies for that category. They have been ranked this year, are currently projected as a tournament team, and just got a big win against Florida today. Look forward to going to that game on Wednesday night.
