In an effort to get away from scamgate and before we really focus totally on Auburn I thought I’d look at the possible bowls in which Bama may play.

To begin with the outcome of 3 games will likely determine where Bama goes bowling. Bama v. AU, AU v. USC, and Arky v. LSU. Here is the way I see our bowl bid based on those 3 games,

Scenario #1- Bama over AU, USC over AU, Arky over LSU. In this case I think we finish the highest ranked SEC team, about # 7 and while USC goes to the Sugar we grab a BCS at large to the Orange or Fiesta and play VT or Neb. Two really great games. AU, goes to Capital One/Orlando

Scenario #2- Bama over AU, AU over USC, Arky over LSU. We will be ranked, about # 8, and still grab the same at large bid as AU is in Sugar.

Scenario # 3- Bama over AU, USC over AU, LSU over Arky. We will be ranked lower than LSU who will grab an at large bid. However, I think we get Orlando and AU goes to the Cotton.

Scenario #4 Bama over AU, AU over USC, LSU over Arky. AU gets Sugar, LSU at large and Bama to Orlando.

Scenario #5- AU over Bama, AU over USC, Arky over LSU. AU goes NCG and Arky (they would be highest ranked behind AU) to Sugar. I still think we get a lucky Orlando bid over LSU who gets Cotton.

Scenario #6- AU over Bama, USC over AU, Arky over LSU. USC gets Sugar, Auburn gets BCS at large, and I still think Bama gets lucky Orlando bid over Arky in Cotton and LSU in Tampa. Remember, SEC bowls can chose a team with one more loss and I think Orlando wants Bama.

Scenario #7-AU over Bama, AU over USC, LSU over Arky. AU to NCG, LSU to Sugar, and Bama to Orlando.

Scenario #8- AU over Bama, USC over AU, LSU over Arky. USC to Sugar, LSU at large, AU to Capital 1, Bama to Cotton.

Of course an Arky loss to MSU or an LSU loss to Ole Miss could mess this up a bit. To me it looks like at worse we go to the Cotton, at best we go to the Orange, and most likely we go to the Orlando. In Orlando I think we play Mich. St. which obviously would have great Saban interest.
