So I just was catching up on some of the programs I watch, and it happened to be the 30 for 30 documentary on Marcus Dupree, "The Best That Never Was". Its a very interesting documentary, and one I would recommend not only to college football fans but to everyone in general. Check it out if you get a chance.
Anyway, I went to the 30 for 30 website to see what was next on tap, and lo and behold, this one is about the SMU death penalty saga, and guess what, it airs immediately following the Heisman Trophy presentation. Immediately, it the irony dawns on me, that Cam Newton is going to win the Heisman, because he is by far and away the most deserving until proven guilty, but I just started laughing. Obviously, this is purely coincidental, and just one of those random things that happen, but it just started cracking me up. I mean, if you buy into any of the black helicopter stuff on Tigerdroppings, which I don't, the irony of all this happening is hilarious. Hell, I don't buy into it, and still found it funny.
Then again, I am sure every barner will be of the belief that Saban made a few calls to World Wide Leader and got a schedule change to implicate that the barn is doing the same thing as SMU.
