Bowl win would be a good salve
This will not be the worse year in my life as a Bama fan. Just in recent years we have endured 3-8 seasons (Dubose last year) 4-9 (Shula) and a few 6-6 years. But with losing to LSU and Auburn the way we did, and knowing the Barn will most likely be national champs (puke, puke), it is close to the worst year we have had, so a bowl win would be a nice way to finish. It wouldn't heal all the hurts and disappointments, but it will help us to move on to 2011.

Come on guys
While it’s true that I feel the losses at LSU and with au are really disouraging, there were other games that made me feel really good. For instance, the classy game with Penn State, the beatdown of Florida (at that time no one suspected UF would have the season they did), and the total domination of Tenn. The game with Ark was one of those in which, at the beginning of the year, was one I thought we could possibly lose. MSU was having a decent year and gave the reigning SEC champs (insert vomiting here) a good game. No one knew for sure what Ole Miss might do and of couse Bama rolled over the three ooc sacrificial lambs, as they were supposed to. The SC game surprised me as they reminded me of the Bowl game with Utah in the way they started the game and looked absolutely unbeatable (WTF happened in the SECCG!). So, yeah, I am somewhat disappointed in 9-3, terribly disappointed in the LSU game, and just downright still in disbelief that BAMA let au off the hook. I KNOW next year will be better. The players won’t have their press clippings to read about all winter and spring, so their head won’t be in the clouds like some MAY have been this past year. CNS will have the disappointments of this season to impress upon the team that they need to finish, and they need to “Make their ass quit.” Both of those tenets seemed to have been missing this year and I feel it’s because the team was told by everyone they were a ‘Dynasty’ and their focus was diminished. I believe CNS will rectify that this spring and next year will have the team back where we believe they should be every year…………playing for the NC.

I just want
This college football season to be over. At the end of last year when Alabama put it on Tim Teebow I thought I wouldn’t have to see TV announcers slobber over another Superman this year. Then comes Scam Newton and its even worse. Fuck that SOB and his shit eating grin!!!!!
They talked Saturday about him like he was some God or something. One thing they said that irritated the hell out of me was how nobody could stop him or tackle him and I thought to myself what the hell did Alabama do to his ass last week. If I remember right he only had 39 yards on the ground and a team total of 200 some odd yards total offense. If I am wrong I know yall will correct me on this.
I look foward to watching The Capital One Bowl then trying to forget this season but it ain’t going to be easy at my house.
It will be nice
When all the Boogs have to deal with the SHOCK of Saban not going to Dallas, Newton and Fairley leaving, and dealing with a brand new offensive line. But it sure does suck to have to be talking about “next year” right now…
Still, it’s good to have perspective. The fact that a 9-3 season is this disappointing to Bama fans is a sign of marked improvement from a decade ago.

Not to mention...
…9-3 with the possibility of winning 10 or more games for the third year in a row is a place half of last year’s final top 10 would die to be in right now.
Agree
on the Cam Newton crap. The talking heads all still say, “You can’t stop him! No one has been able to slow him down! Blah, blah…”
IMO, Bama showed how to stop him. The barn keep giving Cam credit for the IB win, when in fact they need to clap Fairly on the back (puke). He’s the one that managed to keep us from scoring in the red zone. IMO. The rest of their defense and our lack of play calling in the second half also deserve a little credit as well.

And Luck. You do need luck and they had some for sure.
The Ingram fumble, Not going out of bounds and tumbling 20 yards to the endzone….jeeze no wonder Cheeswiz thinks God is on their side. Oh well……it’s the way the ball bounces!

Don't forget Barron having one arm
or their long TD to cut it to 10 is probably an INT.

it always
takes a little luck to go undefeated but I think Auburn has used theirs for the next 50 years!
Is anyone here planning..
I am thinking about taking my wife to the bowl for a Christmas present. Just wondering if any of you guys are going. I have seen BAMA play in the Outback bowl (96) and the Sugar (89, 92). She has been to see BAMA three times now is is slowly becoming a BAMA fan. Thank God! She pulled for the viles when we first met. Anyways just wondering if anyone was going.

Got tickets Sunday night...
Got hotel yesterday. I’ve never been to the Citrus Bowl so I’m looking forward to it. I’ve been to Music City (98), Music City (04), Sugar (08). So this will be my 4th bowl game. I’m glad we are going to a cool city too. Orlando will be fun and hopefully not wet and cold (like last year)! RMFTR! And Quack, Quack, Quck!

It is unfortunate, but THIS is the game where our team begins building for next year.
I would have preferred it to be the Iron Bowl, but hey. 2008 ended in a f—-ing travesty and look how Coach Saban built on that. I see great things for 2011 and it begins with the Capitol One Bowl.
Trivia time! Which credit card (whose sole balance was due to the purchase of another Mark VIII) did the North Tider pay-off this year? Well, twas my Capitol One account, good friends! Hence, as Yukon Cornelius once eloquently stated while shooting crap, “It’s meant to be, mother——er! Seven-come-eleven! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!”
Come to think of it, that may have been someone else…
Charles Martel, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Raymond IV the Count of Toulouse, Godfrey of Bouillon, Baldwin of Boulogne, Henry II, Richard the Lionheart, St. Joan of Arc and Napoleon Bonaparte -- all of good stock.
