Big news on the keenan allen front. Cal may now be the team to beat.
This one is coming as a surprise, but for whatever reason it seems now like Keenan Allen is going to Cal, and even most 'Bama sites are admitting as such. I cannot say him leaving 'Bama is a surprise, but him going to Cal is another story. Either way, I haven't really expected him to end up in Tuscaloosa for a few days now, and if nothing else this likely confirms whose spot Menzie filled.

I've read that
it’s because he and Gabe King are very close friends, and King is all but a lock for Cal. Also, I don’t know, but maybe Cal lacks depth at QB?

That's stupid
Who wants to go to Cal and lose to Stanford for 3 out of 4 years?
Roll Tide! Beat the Horns! Bring home that crystal!!!
Really?
Cal has beaten Stanfurd in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, and 2009
Stanfurd has done so in 2007
I listed out the years instead of putting it in a range so it stands out for you.
In other words, Go Bears!
are you by chance and relation to
Holla McGee?

well, if KA goes to Cal
I’m going ahead and claiming that Stanford will win 3 out of 4 years. I’m not going on the past. I’m just hurt that KA is leaving, that’s all.

Bwahaha. Yea twist what you said just because you made an idiotic claim without checking facts and got called out on it. If Stanfurd couldn’t beat us when they had Toby Gerhart and when we were down and had lost Jahvid Best, they’re not going to do it.

Don`t mind Roy...
He`s still struggling with those pubescent hormones.
All your recruit are belong to Cal.
"The Play" should have been called back. There was a forward pass and a knee down.
Not really relevant to anything but is fuel to the Stanford v. Cal argument.
Toby Gerhart = overrated

In all honesty, I will be not one bit surprised if he honors his word and signs a LOI for Bama.
This same goofy shit happens every year in recruiting, it is an attention ploy for his LOI signing. This is his last stand of being super important.

I agree...
… quite frankly, no one should EVER be surprised by ANYTHING that happens in recruiting.

I agree
I think this is just to get ratings for ESPN and his signing day event. I still think we get Allen until he comes out and says he is going somewhere else. These are all just rumors going around.

Rivals...
… is now showing that Allen has de-committed from Alabama and is now choosing between ’Bama, Clemson, and Cal.
I don’t think this is as the result of any firm news that they have, per se, but instead a mere reflection of the reality that he’s not coming to ‘Bama. After all, it’s hard to list a guy as a commit to one school when literally every single “expert” in your company feels that he is going to another.

For
those worried over recruiting don’t worry. Next year we could have the best recruiting class we have EVER had. A lot of top recruits from around the country already have us as their favorite and the state of Alabama should be deep with talent like 2008.

I don't think people are "worried"
but if you have a shot with a real talent, then you need to capitalize….IMHO
I think KA would be making a grave decision by going with a mid-tier program like Cal when he could possibly contribute early with the defending national champs…..
but I’m no him, and I can only hope that he knows what’s best……
