Top Moments of the 2009 Season: Round One - Ingram vs Maze
Big shocker, Ingram's 69 yard catch and run to deflate the Gators whipped the McClain/Anders tip drill at Kentucky with 78% of the vote. Today we pit Ingram's 70 yard TD run at Mississippi State with Marquis Maze's 80 yard TD reception against Arkansas. Vote away.

untouched up the middle
vs. blanket coverage circus catch, gotta go Maze.
Great concentration, catch, balance and acceleration.
I always get nervous about Arky...
…I’m a believer in that superstition about the Arky game being an auger for the rest of the season. And that catch was awesome. I love how Maze shakes the defender.
But the Ingram TD was super cool because in the post-game interview he said he was running towards the endzone watching himself on the big HUGE jumbo-tron screen there, making sure there was nobody that could catch him.

I coulda sworn I remembered him running away from the huge jumbo-tron
Maybe I’m just remember it wrong, or maybe he was referring to the rinky-dink jumbotron at the other end of the endzone
(can’t watch the highlight above, since I’m at work…)
The Process of Champions
Beautiful throw.
and then the burners to get up field…What’s not to love here?

I voted
for the Maze catch as well. Arkansas had just scored and then we come right back and hit them with an 80 yard TD pass. That was the catch that let people know early on that Maze had stepped his game up this year.

The
Ingram run was great but I wasn’t suprised to see him take it to the house. I was suprised with that 80 yard TD pass. We just hardly ever make long pass plays like that.

I know
it was a thing of beauty. What made it so good was that Gary Danielson had just been saying that McElroy was not fancy and wouldn’t WOW you with his ability then BAM 80 yard TD pass. lol

I remember when they took our
meal tickets away and gave us “account numbers.” Made bullying kids on the playground much more complicated, having to carry a around a ledger to keep track of kids’ numbers and all…

I love that Maze stutter-step
But my Pop and I were RIGHT BY the endzone (on the Bama side) when Mark ran that touchdown in. Far enough over, and right by the field, that we didn’t see the play start—and five seconds after my dad said "wouldn’t it be great if Mark just ran it on down here . . . " So it gets the sentimental vote!
Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world.
is it me
or is the ingram play the same as the trent run in the BCSNCG?
