The "Circle A" Alabama logo from the carpet in the Bryant-Denny Stadium locker room is being auctioned off. New York-based Steiner Sports, who have exclusive rights to all Crimson Tide game-used memorabilia, snapped up the carpet after Alabama won the National Championship.

Just a day into the seven-week auction the bidding is up to $2,600 but the reserve price hasn't been met yet. But whatever bid wins it on March 31, they promise to throw in shipping and handling for free.

The 16x16 carpet logo has been in use for four seasons, 2006-2009. It holds a pretty significant meaning to the team since players can only be on it during team activities such as: pre and post game speeches, singing the fight song after victories and prayer before and after the game.

If anyone has any info on what will be done to replace it, let us know.
