Time to get this party started...
…I’ve got the NyQuil. Anyone have the snacks?
It's not what you've done but what you are doing that matters.
I'll be updating the thread
I figure there are people at work or whatnot who might not be able to watch, so I’ll be offering some live updates and analysis.
Roll Tide!
interesting to see Green out of the starting lineup for the third straight game...

tied 4-4, first tv timeout
of course, as soon as I complement our rebounding, we give up about 5 offensive boards in a span of 3 possessions. Neither team shooting well. Knox has all 4 points for us. We’re getting the ball around the rim but not finishing. Looking forward to seeing what Green can do.
...and Hillman on defense.

The offensive rebounds by USC will kill us.

this game has the feeling that Bama would be up if the were playing better.

Pardon this sidebar...
…but on 360 they keep cutting back to ESPN radio and that a**hole Herd is on. If there was ever someone who should drive into an abutment, he’s the one.

Downey on the bench...
…this should be a good opportunity for Bama to get a lead going.

Keep the updates coming
I’m watching KU-Texas Tech. If anybody cares, Kansas leads 34-32 at the half.
20-14 SC, third tv timeout
we did nothing without Torrance except give them turnovers which lead to most of their points in that stretch
25-20 SC
Torrence replacing Brock after a foul.

how much time's left
I’m seeing 4:58 in 1st with SC up 25-24.. is that very delayed?
The Process of Champions
27-24 SC, fourth tv timeout
much better job taking care of the ball and getting good shots with Torrance in the game, only problem is Downey is drawing a lot of fouls on our guards (Torrance, Brock, Hillman all have 2 now)
listening to 99.5 using WonderRadio iphone app
They are playing our fight song over and over again during the timeout… I wonder if it’s just cause it’s through the iphone app

I'm not liking this
Looks like I might have to miss the end… I have class at 2. I hope the end of the 2nd half is better than the end of the 1st
38-27 SC, halftime
The last four minutes were awful for us. We played okay overall until then but that was awful all around. We’ve been shooting horribly around the rim all day.
Pretty big hole
we put ourselves in by sloppy play. The team looks like they don’ t want to play anymore Bball- they are ready for Spring Break next week.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
same way they looked last year
against Tennessee in the SEC tourney…in Tampa. I was there, it was horrible to witness.
I don't see how a player could enjoy spring break
considering that’s one of the biggest weeks of the year for basketball (first 2 rounds of the NCAA tourney)
The Process of Champions
30% FG shooting
will lose this game for us. unacceptable.

halftime stats
SC has 9 offensive boards on 20 misses (45%).
We have 8 offensive boards on 19 misses (41%).
SC has only 3 turnovers.
We have 9 turnovers.
Overall, that’s 7 extra possessions for them off rebounding and turnovers.
SC is shooting 15-of-36 (42%).
We are shooting 9-of-30 (30%).
SC has 8 free throw attempts (75%).
We have 10 free throw attempts (80%).
SC is 2-of-6 from the arc (33%).
We are 1-of-5 from the arc (20%).
turnovers are the biggest key
We aren’t creating them. They are, and they got some easy looks off of them, which helps explain their 42% shooting even though they really haven’t shot all that well themselves. We should be out-rebounding them and we certainly can’t afford to lose the turnover battle that badly.
the biggest factor of all is intensity
We came out with it, lost it a bit when we had that slump with Torrance out, got it back, then sleep-walked through the last 4 minutes.
it's now or never
we’ve got to leave it all out on the floor right here. Intensity. We have to bring it right out of the gate or all is lost for this year.
LOL, Chris Stewart is relentlous regarding the scoreboard/statboard

unfortunately you can’t pause the live stream and it’s always ahead of 360 so I can’t sinc him with the video. Would love to though.

44-30 SC, first tv timeout
I don’t know how or why, but SC is somehow the team with all the defensive and rebounding energy. That aggressiveness has us playing scared when going to the rim and on the boards.
I am gonna have to fire up

SC just isn't missing
or so it seems…. bah
It's not what you've done but what you are doing that matters.
our game has been defense all year
and we’ve only forced 3 TOs on the day… that’s the most disappointing thing in my opinion
The Process of Champions
54-39 SC, second tv timeout
It would be a real shame if we go the whole season without getting blown out and then do just that in the most meaningful game of the year. We can’t stop SC this half. And we’re not doing ourselves any favors on the other end. Davis just hit a 3. We were down 18.
Is that the first three ball for Bama today?

that could have been a big play
SC misses a dunk, the ball lands in the middle of three Bama players, SC gets it back, gets fouled, makes 2 FTs
Mitchell has to go up with both hands and draw the contact.
It's not what you've done but what you are doing that matters.
56-48 SC, third tv timeout
We’re going to need SC to miss shots down the stretch. Most importantly we need to rebound and take care of the ball.
Muldrow is having the game of his life
He’s picking up the scoring for Raley-Ross and Galloway and he is single-handedly keeping us from scoring around the rim.
definitely wouldn’t be in this position…

57-53 SC, 5 min left
We’ve picked up the intensity big-time (finally). No need to rush things here though or get desperate. Only down 4 with 5 left.
a whole lot of time left
Just gotta keep up the intensity and not waste offensive opportunities

Another great defensive stop. Seriously, where was this attitude all day? I’d be typing the Kentucky preview right now if we’d just played with this much energy all day.
We have a chance but
the way SC is going to hold it we need to make a basket every trip

Ya, Tenn vs LSU
But I was referencing Bama07 saying we’d locked up the W5 spot because it was impossible (taking liberty with his actual words) for USC to beat Vandy, and for LSU to beat Georiga that weekend.
I’d love to see LSU destroy Tennessee today and pop their bubble.

by AlabamaJammer on Mar 11, 2010 2:31 PM CST up reply actions
Tennesse is a lock. There is no bubble to pop.
Although losing to LSU would probably cost them a couple seeding spots.
And I didn’t say impossible. I said highly unlikely. And it was highly unlikely that both games would go that way, but they did anyway. I try to avoid absolute statements like that for that very reason.
ya, couldn’t remember your words, so I qualified the “taking liberty with his actual words,” since I didn’t want to mis-quote you.
