So The Girl entered The Dog in al.com's Bama's Best Dog contest. The winner will be chosen by some panel of editors or some such nonsense instead of popular vote, otherwise I'd be commanding you all to go vote right now. Anyway, I bring this up because some jackass entered a mangy, flea bitten hound named "Smokey" into the contest, thereby proving two long held opinions about Tennessee fans:

1) Tennessee fans are idiots, so much so that they don't even know which state they are in (by which I mean get that damn mutt back to Tennessee before it's hillbilly fleas get loose on the good dogs of our fair state).
2) Even though I'm a dog person to the core, any miserable hound named Smokey will instantly make me hate it whether it's the official Smokey or not.
