Barrett Jones and Kendall Kelly
Well I'm sure most of you have heard but Barrett Jones and two other classmates (one is a walk-on reciever) are going to Haiti for their Spring Break. They will be spending what little time of sleep they have in tents and be eating just mere meals. This just shows the kind of players we have at Bama. It just seems ever since Saban has took over, every time I hear our players during interviews and such, they are so well spoken compared to their interviews before they arrived at Bama. It's never been better to be an Alabama Fan. Also Kendall Kelly is gonna be trying out Safety during the Spring so I hope all goes well.

There’s a link to it in the fanshot I posted earlier for anyone wanting the full story. It was pretty cool story
very proud
Barrett Jones went to the same high school that I attended a million years ago. His spring break shows where his priorities are. Great person!

Kelly at safety is a big surprise to me.......
Kelly was ranked as one of the best WR recruits in the country out of High School. I believe he was in the top ten for his position. I wonder what gives?
He is great who can do what he wishes; he is wise who wishes to do what he can.
Prolly the fact...
…that our secondary is depleted, and he is a big, fast sunuvagun, is what gives….

Isn't he around 6'4''...? Wouldn't it be a waste of his size to play him at safety?
He is great who can do what he wishes; he is wise who wishes to do what he can.
the practice notes from the other day provide pretty good insight.

Hardly a waste
Having a 6’3" 220 guy who can move well back there is a very good thing.

Safeties normaly aren't in coverage. Their job is more of a support and clean up role.
I’ve always thought a safety was nothing more than a speedy linebacker with better ball skills. But hey coach knows best I’m just thinking out loud here!
He is great who can do what he wishes; he is wise who wishes to do what he can.
it's also important to note
that Kelly is still wearing #81, and to my knowledge, I’ve never seen a safety wear a # in the 80’s. Might seem trivial, but until they switch his jersey, I’m gonna go with “rehab” being the reason he’s there
