Per New Life Art, this is the pencil sketch of the second piece Daniel Moore will be doing in his series "The Greatest Season Ever."
Your mileage may vary, but personally I'm a huge fan. Think about it... all the awesomeness of Dareus' touchdown? Check. Trent and Ingram running it down their throats? Check. Dareus knocking out McCoy? Check. Anders knocking out Gilbert? Check. Saban hoisting the crystal ball? Check. Confetti raining down on the whole thing? Check. Final score plastered on Texas players? Check.
What the hell is there not to love?

Looks like...

Sabans face kinda looks....fat....just sayin
Lane Kiffin took the meaning of "Volunteer" WAY too seriously....
It's why he doesn't smile much!
I’d rather see him chewin but anyway, cause I know the player won’t make that mistake again at least for a few games or years.
"Defense"
Agreed.
He looks a little chubby in the face. Makes him look too jolly. He is never jolly, sometimes amused or vaguely happy. He is never satisfied or jolly. Fix this DM before it goes to print.
Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs
Also notice...
the Texas player who is wearing number 13 on the sideline also. Very nice.
Awesome screen name, by the way...
… I wonder if the final version will have a couple of Texas fans wearing McCoy jerseys crying in the background?

Thanks
Wondering if anyone was going to recognize the name. He was the solo jumbo package before the jumbo package existed. One of my favorites

Lol...
… I loved me some Montoya Madden back in the day.
Most people forget he was a highly-touted recruit, and if anything it was probably more bad luck on his part to be stuck behind Shaun Alexander. Hazlewood was a prep dynasty at that time and they kept sending us a ton of talent — Langham, the Goode brothers, Madden, Harris, etc. — and Madden was definitely big-time. He actually did pretty well at ’Bama, but with Riddle still around in ’96 and ’97, and Alexander taking off in ’98, he just never got to be the guy. Mix that with DuBose flipping him back and forth between fullback, and it just never worked out.
Still, fine player in his own right, and an awesome football name.

wearing 37 and 21 for the final score…Daniel Moore has got it all covered.

hell i'd buy it
even if you removed everything except for dareus dragging gilbert like a 6 year old. that is classic.
Also, I like...
… how he used a similar design for this one as he did for the 1992 national championship.

I have that one w a framed letter
Handwritten, mind you, from Coach Stallings in response to my father’s letter to him asking him to reconsider his resignation, hanging in the house. Stallings = class personified. Love the new sketch tho. Gave the max block sketch to my sis as a baby shower goft

Interesting still from Dareus' return
Left to right numbers visible are 3, 57, what appears to possibly be 21 (but is actually 23) and 13. That’s not too far off 37-21 and 13.
Then check out a few frames later:
Not only is Dareus striking a pretty cool pose, but look at the numbers of the two Texas players behind #23 — There’s a 3 visible on one guy’s chest, and a 7 on the sleeve of the guy next to him.
By the way, the real Texas #21 is standing not too far off the screen beside their number 13. There is no player listed on the Texas roster who wears #37.
I like 14's reaction...can we get that in the painting. And add some Ga. fans from the black out too.
I still watch the GA game on DVR from time to time just for the crowd. They are still in shock right now.
8 or 13 It's more than your school. You can call Bama's fans what you want while your thinking of the national title.
Sadly..
I’m sure a bunch of Utah fans do the same thing.
too true!
but on to happier thoughts!
