The Crimson Tide will hold its first scrimmage this spring on Friday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The eighth practice of the spring will be closed to the public.

Don Kausler, Jr. Notes: Tide vs. Texas Tech in 2012? 'I guess it's a possibility,' Saban says Keep your eye out for this Friday afternoon because that is where the spring practice fireworks really begin. We'll start to get a better idea of how some of the position battles will shake out and how the young secondary is developing. The A-Day game itself can tend to be a glorified practice for public show, but the closed scrimmages tend to be highly important for the stock of individual players and position battles. I'll have a long post up this weekend recapping everything.
