As Pres welcomes Red Elephants to WH, I prefer to remember the other 58 mins of Iron Bowl WDE!

Puke. If there's any justice, Cody had this Barner for a mid-morning snack. In any event, I see he hasn't tweeted for seven hours, so I'm holding out hope.

you can't just choose to not remember something
seriously, I tried to purge me mind of memories from 2002 – 2007 by drinking nothing but Jim Beam for an entire off season
failed miserably
I still have every single memory from those years, except now I have a police record and pee blood
drunk comment of the week: Loveliest Little Village on the Plains is just code for one road leading to a giant clusterphuck every gameday
Time for this again

Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs
I kinda miss the playoffs
We ought to really vote on this one just for kicks.

Gibbs
Well, Robert Gibbs worked for Fritz Hollings in Fritz’s final run for Senate here in South Carolina. Everybody that I knew back then who worked for Fritz were smart and great guys to hang around with. Every single one of them, including Gibbs, are now in DC making bank and being rewarded for being some of the best political minds in the country. For this one time in my life, I have to side with politics over football with a gentlemanly, “Scoreboard, sir,” instead of the usual expletive-laden diatribe.

That has to be Forest Whittaker...
…what is that from?

there were enough parts of obama's remarks
that hit the correct tone that i’m pretty sure he had gibbs vet the thing. the slight jab at the number of championships, the fact he didn’t use the nickname “bear” when referring to coach bryant, things like that. in fact the one flub – the “go tide” response at the start – was clearly a spur-of-the-moment error made in response to someone in the audience saying “roll tide.”
the only folks outside of die hard crimson tide partisans that would catch all that would have to be a born and bred barner.

And the Japanese prefer to only remember Pearl Harbor.
After spending seven wondrous years in the state of Alabama, never in my life have I seen fans, who claim to be loyal to one team, spend more time AUbsessing over the other more so than they do their very own.

What else would you expect from...
…a spin doctor, ahem, press secretary. Score double points for him being a fan of the “University of Auburn.”
It's not what you've done but what you are doing that matters.

WAR DAMN EAGLE (WDE)
I always thought inserting the “damn” in the war eagle chant was defensive redneckery that demeaned the tradition. It’s kind of like how when you can’t win an argument you just start yelling.
i.e. A secure Auburn fan would say “We won the game. War Eagle!” vs. With the current state of things “I hate that god d*** mother f****** Saban. Chizik’s gonna get dem Bammers. War Dame Eagle!”
Apparently WDE is now used by the most politically connected, well-off Auburn fans.
Shouldn't it be the first 10 min he enjoys because we whipped them the rest of the game.
8 or 13 It's more than your school. You can call Bama's fans what you want while your thinking of the national title.
Lest you forget...
and I quote: “OMG WE SHUT DOWN UR RUNNING GAME LOL, U GOT LUCKY”

Gibbs
seems like a real Barner alright. I bet he also prefers to remember the glorious history of Auburn football minus the years of 1958-1982.

Well,
wasn’t it ’59 when they got their semi-real, probationary, split championship? He might want to remember up to that year.

i think it says quite a lot
that a ‘kid’ (the Auburn’s SGA president) had the desire and good sense to shake Saban’s hand, yet an ‘adult’ (Auburn raised and NCState educated, Robert Gibbs) did not. Rather pathetic if you ask me.
