This weekend the Dallas Cowboy's iconic Texas Stadium was razed in as gaudy a ceremony as you would expect for America's Team. To commemorate this event I give you the finest moment of Alabama legend George Teague who, in 2000, took it upon himself to defend the honor of the midfield star and earn him as high esteem among Cowboy fans as he holds for us.

I heard a good one about the old stadium...
Turns out, they didn’t use explosives to level the stadium – they just asked it to do an impression of the Cowboys in the playoffs.

Teague
was a football player. Owens was/is a jerk.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
I don't care for T.O.
and I like George Teague, but if I’d been a bigtime player, I would have spiked two balls on that F’ing star, too. Dallas’s teams back then were some of the most obnoxious, arrogant, and despicable teams the NFL has ever seen. They were good, but as a fiery, competitive player who’d fight your ass to the death I can tell you that Owens did something a lot of people who hated Dallas wanted to do. Ask Chris Samuels about Dallas.
And I’m all for that and I don’t think it’s dirty. Football ain’t a gentlemen’s game. Never has been, never will. You have a chance to take somebody out you do it. There’s no mercy. If a team disrespects you or talks trash first you can give it right back to them. And Dallas had done that. They never respected San Francisco. They created that bad blood. Their players talked more trash and put out more opposing players then anybody I can remember. They started it. F them. F them forever. But they were good.

I
was in Dallas last week and imploding Texas Stadium was all they were talking about. This was the same week that Mike Modano announced he was retiring and did a tearful farewell while wearing a Northstars jersey (the team who drafted him). I certainly don’t expect Dallas sports fans to care much about hockey, but damn. Modano is Dallas hockey and one of the top US-born hockey players of all time. Yet all I heard from locals was about imploding stadiums.

Teagues finest moment came in the Sugar Bowl...sorry.
8 or 13 It's more than your school. You can call Bama's fans what you want while your thinking of the national title.
meant to say finest moment for teague in texas stadium.
but i am suck.

They've always been my LEAST favorite team...of any sport.
And since I rarely watch the NFL, and couldn’t generally care less who is in the Super Bowl, that’s pretty bad.

but for an alabama fan
you need to remember that this man was an assistant coach there for quite a few years.

Gotta give credit to the Bidwells...
…they’ve actually done something with the team instead of it floundering as it had for over fifty years. Flirtations with the playoffs aside…

Back when I cared about the NFL...
…late 70’s/early ‘80s, the Cowboys and Raiders were my two teams. I liked Landry, made me think of a pro version of Bryant. I don’t really remember Stabler playing for the Raiders but I was a big Jim Plunkett fan.
Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs
my mom loved tom landry
for prolly the same reason

my wife and her family are all from near the dallas area
and are huge cowboys fans. and she’s been really good about showing love for the Tide, so in return, i’ve spent the last 4 or 5 football seasons watching and openly cheering for the cowgirls. (in my heart i still wish them nothing but death, esp after picking up Pac Man)
at least they have/had some good running backs the last few years, thats kinda fun to watch.

they were very fun to watch in the mid-90s
when i lived in dallas. they has an offense that was a joy to behold for anyone that appreciated good football.
but no, i couldn’t stand the fans at all.
