Why did we ever think winning a national title would make THEM possible to live with?

3SIB has already torn this one apart, but points to be made: 1. Alabama has faced eleven conference opponents coming off of a bye week over the past three years and is looking at facing six this year. No other team in the conference has faced the same built in disadvantage. Just because Alabama has run through the regular season undefeated two years in a row doesn't mean that the SEC - who is supposed to be looking out for the interests of all it's member, not just the ones that suck - shouldn't step in and take some sort of action to ensure that every member institution is afforded the same advantages (and, to be fair, faces the same disadvantages) as the rest of the teams in the conference. This isn't "special treatment" for Alabama, it's the conference doing what it ought to do for any team in the conference, but since Alabama is the only team to have faced this scheduling quirk it's easy to say "OMG ALABAMA FAVORITISM." 2. In response to 3SIB's assertion that it's lonely at the top, no, it isn't. There are plenty of us up here, and it's &*^$ing awesome.
