NCAA: Taunting will cost points from now on

This article disturbed me. Eye black with bible verses is innocuous... what's the harm in that? What if someone tattooed F U on their face? now brandon spikes eye gouging is totally different and wrong. Is not taunting an integral part of the game of football? do not competitors competing against each other talk trash to intimidate or do things to interfere with the confidence of an opponent. its part of the mind game of football. now flagrant unsportsman like behavior like hitting a man while he is down, chop blocks, or trying to give him on-the-field lasik is another. but, HIGH STEPPING? High stepping into the endzone is being called taunting. Is that because it looks like the beginning of excessive celebration? The problem I see is in the interpretation of what is or isn't taunting. view this link of a julio jones TD reception. 1:35 on gives a good slow motion look, notice he high steps into the endzone after shaking off an arkansas defender. now, is this "taunting" or is julio trying to regain his balance and make sure the defender doesn't wrap up his feet? next season a play like this could draw a flag and NEGATE the TD!! That's cRAzY
