I know it's not about Alabama, or even the SEC, but this is what it means to give back to the school that gave you a scholarship on a very big stage.
From Huskers Extra (emphasis mine):
Suh is a superstar here, and the ovation was much louder when the game came to a complete halt in the first quarter and in a pre-recorded video message Suh announced that he will donate $2 million to the Nebraska athletic department and another $600,00 to the UNL College of Engineering to endow a scholarship. It is the largest single gift ever from a former player.
When you think about all of the talent that program has produced, and all of the great players, Suh (who hasn't even signed a contract yet) becomes the single largest donor in NU history? Not even knowing what his pro career holds? Or if he'll ever have guaranteed money?
Like I said, class act.
