"I was just so ecstatic. I mean I couldn't even speak, I was so happy," [Mike] Johnson said. "Atlanta was the dream for me. ... I was most familiar with their staff. I had been there to visit, met everybody. They had come to work me out. It really just felt like home, and everything just felt in line. That's where I'm headed."Gentry Estes: Draft recap: Three more Tide players taken on day two I hated to see my Pats miss on Johnson (which, according to McElroy on Twitter is apparently where he thought he was going), but apparently Mike was thrilled to be picked by the Falcon. According to several of the articles floating around, that was the one he was hoping for all along, and it's great to see things work out for him. I'm sure he'll make Falcon fans happy, too. He'll probably never be a great pass blocker, but I'd bet good money he'll consistently kill people in the running game, and that is what you want out of a guard.
