"Everyone knows, on Saturday afternoon I'm watching Alabama football," said Raven's General Manager Ozzie Newsome. "Because I'm so involved [at Alabama], it can be a detriment."
In the wake of choosing Mount Cody in the third round of the NFL draft, the former Alabama standout Newsome pondered on how his ties to The Capstone may have an affect him when draft day rolls around. That might have been a detriment in the past, Oz, but certainly not any more.

Watching Sportcenter
They were discussing which team had done the best job getting picks throughout the draft and they mentioned both Baltimore and Houston, picking out Alabama players as one of the big reasons.
Definitely not a bad thing to be involved with the Crimson Tide come draft day.
I love the Ravens draft...
and KC didn’t too badly either; instant offense/ST weapons and EB to boot.

Ravens (and by extension us) for the win
Cody getting picked by Oz was great enough, but B’more also got Sergio Kindle, who is a manbeast. The dude was unblockable through huge stretches of last year, including the championship game. Check him out lighting up the Taylor Potts Pornstache:

Also, Oz fleeced McDaniels by getting getting THREE picks from Denver for the right to unnecessarily reach for St. Timmah. Genius.

Not entirely related to this topic
Is that all year long we heard about how much of a “Down Year” it was in CFB since we won the national title.
Yet I’ve heard more than once people say that this is one of the deepest drafts in years…. since the mid-2000’s
Feels good to be right
Fumbles. It was always Fumbles
Damn Kleph
you are ON IT with the comebacks today.

Now that Chris Samuels is retired
he’s got a great career as a Barry White soul artist; jesus, his voice just rattled my laptop.

the plus side, is that
I think Campbell has more upside than Gradkowski or the Buffet Buster.

Pretty bad when you're traded for a 5th or 7th round pick.
That’s basically saying, “We want anyone buy you.”

Speaking of Oakland
They got a muscular OT from Maryland named Bruce Campbell.
Has a rep for taking a few plays off though, so coaching is important
Fumbles. It was always Fumbles
his arms and shoulders were MASSIVE

another bonus though
is that he has lots of experience when it comes to killing the un-dead.

Good pickups by the Raiders...
Jacoby Ford is dangerous, and Bruce Campbell is a decent project player.

NE just got a coup
Hernandez, TE from Florida….great speed, and hands. Brady gets another security blanket to go along with Welker.

Very good pick in my book. I can see Belichick having some fun with this guy

i love that shit

Coach Nick Saban
WE pretty much shut down his two favorite plays
the soft-zone hitch, and the TE shovel pass.

i thought his shovel catch on the first play of the SECCG
was a highlight. but then again, i’m biased.

The G-Men aren't doing so hot, IMO
JPP has bust written all over him. Dillard is active, but can’t cover very well, and gets blocked easily.

He played like 7 NCAA games
and everyone was all hot over him because he does backflips. He seems like a good pass-rusher but that’s about it. I mean, he could end up being good but that’s a hell of a lot of risk for a mid 1st round pick

Chad Jones is a good pick though...and I'm not certain about Linval Joseph yet...
