The infectious Coach Cochran
Good story on Coach C. here from Burton. I especially liked this little gem from Reamer: "You stay bought into it when you see your opponent sucking air and physically failing and you're still fit and ready and you know you own his ass. You know Coach Cochran was right all along and you don't ever want to be that man," Reamer concluded.

My favorite Bleacher Report columnist would have to be Block O Nation.
I think he’s thirteen.

Bleacher Report or not...
this is a good article. And a good post.
That white stuff on the top of chickencrap is.....chickencrap.
um... no.
… Reamer concluded.
here’s what elmore leonard has to say about that.
Never use a verb other than ’’said’’ to carry dialogue. The line of dialogue belongs to the character; the verb is the writer sticking his nose in.
he’s referring to fiction, but it holds for journalism. that verb is the writer’s opinion, it reveals nothing of the subject’s state of mind. why? because a journalist doesn’t know the subject’s state of mind and if it’s self evident, why use it at all?
a good writer/journalist will pick a revealing quote and let it stand on it’s own. a bad writer/journalist will use tricks like this under the excuse of “adding color” when they are just trying to convince the reader of something their copy is incapable of making clear on its own.
does this one misstep condemn his whole article? probably not. but given the woeful track record of the website that published it you can bet i’m not going to take a chance on wasting a few minutes of my life clicking that link and seeing what’s behind it.

I am not a journalist,
just a reader, but i did enjoy the post. I like seeing stories about our coaching staff. And I like hearing what the palyers have to say about them. Especially Coach Cochran.
That white stuff on the top of chickencrap is.....chickencrap.
I like what the players say too.
Geez I can’t type.

that i loath bleacher report and despise this style of writing is in no way an indictment on you or your decision to post it. i certainly understand and concur with your enthusiasm for the subject matter.

Cochran's "funeral" quote is the stuff of legend . . .
and will be remembered for decades. And that game will always be the “funeral” game for me. I am not sure Mark Richt will ever recover either.
I love this man
One of my favorite coaches on staff. Anybody see the flu commercial he was ,classic.

He is a badass indeed...
I wonder how many strength and conditioning coaches are mentioned by name in the speeches given by Heisman Trophy winners? When Ingram thanked him in his speech it really showed me how much respect the team has for him. Hopefully he’ll stick around Tuscaloosa for a long long time.
Looks like my post has “infected” another one lol
