Derek Dooley offered his strongest indication to date that Tennessee has a favorite to win the quarterback job. But the Vols coach still followed it up by clarifying that the race isn't close to over. Speaking last week at a Big Orange Caravan stop in Cleveland, Dooley subtly gave the nod to junior-college transfer Matt Simms as the top candidate to take over the offense heading into the summer. And after spending all spring refusing to announce a depth chart or provide much running commentary on the battle, the comments were somewhat revealing.
