Around SBN: NFL Players Ready To Welcome Gay Teammate

The top executive for the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome said he would like to match Miami with Alabama (or if that doesn't happen, Auburn, Georgia or South Carolina) in 2012, with each participant getting $2.25 million. ``It's something we would be interested in,'' UM athletic director Kirby Hocutt said. Hocutt wants a 2012 neutral-site football game and also is considering Chicago (against a Big East or Big Ten team).

I hate Miami.

Hate.

This needs to happen.

Hell, can we play Miami, Notre Dame, USC, Utah, and Michigan all in the same year?

only if they all get

a bye week to prepare, I’m sure.

OMG Taunting...

We were playing Miami

I don’t think we’d have to worry about being the team that suffers the most from those kinds of penalties.

Well if you don’t have anything to celebrate or taunt over….

I'm for this.

I understand hate. I'm a Alabama fan.

I'd be into this...

…but I’d also like to see a home and home with them. We’d absolutely take their stadium over. Plus, Miami is teh awesomez.

For all the historic success Miami football has had, they have a pathetic fan base. There are huge swaths of open seats at Miami home games. They could probably sell their 30k allotment for an opening game at the Georgia dome, but there would be about 20x more Alabama fans in Atlanta that weekend.

For a home and home, there would definitely be a huge Bama presence in Joe Robbie, Pro Player, Land Shark, Sun Life Stadium.

Their spring game...

Was held at a high school stadium.

In all fairness...

…if it was the Miami Crimson Tide and I lived in Miami, I’d be doing something else besides watching spring ball too.

DO IT PLEASE!!!!!!!

The canes are nothing like the 92 version, but the outcome would be a win/win. Win in the game with another win in recuiting in Atlanta and Miami

The only thing

about the Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game is that to play a strong team right off the bat is hard.

We have been a bit fortunate that in 08 & even a bit in 09 we were considered by many to be the underdog. That actually worked well for us as it helped our team to come out fired up and the opponets (esp. Clemson) may have taken us too lightly . But, if we play Miami in 12 we will be the favorite.

Nevertheless it would almost be a home game for us as the Canes won’t travel like Clemson or VT. Plus anytime we can beat those guys that is a good thing.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
