The Michigan Senate Transportation Committee today passed Senate Bill 1269, according to Michigan State Senator John J. Gleason. If passed, it would rename part of Interstate 475 after Alabama's Heisman-winning running back Mark Ingram, a native of Flint, Michigan. The bill will now go to approval by the full senate and then on to the State House Transportation Committee. No word yet on efforts to run it through South Carolina.
