Alabama running back Roy Upchurch wasn’t able to tryout because he didn’t pass his physical.

Bad news out of Owing Mills, Maryland. Roy Upchurch's tryout with the Balitmore Ravens seems to be over before it started.

Damn.

I hate to hear that for him.

Don't guess we'll hear the details

of exactly how he failed it. All I can say is they are missing out on a super football player. Too bad.

I would imagine...

it was one of his old injuries (neck, ankle) with which they were uncomfortable. Much as I love the guy, there is a fair amount of risk associated with him.

Man, I hate that.

I have always had great respect for RoyUp. I hope he uses that degree to find success and happines in life. Virginia Tech will forever be his bi***.

Might the CFL take him?

What are contracts like there?

Is that too much risk (prolonged health issues) for too little reward ($$$$)?

That may be a good point.

If he doesn't want to go into the job market...

…maybe he can catch on as a GA for BAMA and move up and on from there.

Auburn and Tennessee fans are a lot like Slinkys...neither are worth much but you do get a sense of satisfaction from pushing them down a flight of stairs

I really hate it for him....

He started this season on my own personal highlight reel (knocking the VT player into the end zone with him) and ended the regular season on my highlight real. He’s my personal bookend for the 2009 season, and I hope he goes far, no matter what his road has ahead.

A lot

of defensive players in the NFL just let out a sigh of relief because they won’t have to take a hit from the Train Of Pain Mr. Roy Upchurch!!!

A picture says a thousand words unless it is a picture of the Alabama football team then it only says one word.........CHAMPION!

I seem to remember he having to have a neck proceedure.

If he had vertabrae fused that is why. Too much risk.

I understand hate. I'm a Alabama fan.

I'm just glad Upchurch

got to be a part of the 09 team with all the injuries he had. In 08 alot of folks thought he was finished at Bama.

He still has a bright future either in football or the business world.

I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
