When [Florida] strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti wants to rile up his team during the summer months, Exhibit A is an obvious choice — just pop in a tape of the Alabama loss.
The way Florida was dismantled in last year's 32-13 loss to the Crimson Tide in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game will push the Gators entering the 2010 season.
"Because it was such a big game, and it didn't turn out the way we wanted to, I think that's a motivating factor right there," Marotti said. "It's the SEC and you're trying to win the SEC. That was great to finish like we did [in the Sugar Bowl], but they had more lofty goals."
Hmm.... Seems like the Gators have decided that focusing on the Volunteers isn't quite enough to cut it in the SEC any more. As much as I hate to say it, that's one we owe Lane Kiffin.

This is the very reason
we need to be very careful as we approach UF in T-Town this year. For them this game is priority 1.
I hate the NCAA more than UT & AU combined. At least with UT & AU you got a fighting chance.
welcome to the top of the heap...
every single team we play will have that particular game as priority 1.

That's good motivation
If the gators provide enough Visine to counteract UF’s “performance enhancing” substances.

as pot use among florida football players has gone up
the rate of indiscrimenent discharging of AK-47’s in campus parking lots at 3 am has gone down.
now, we all know that correlation != causation, but still, its an encouraging trend…

…sh*t, you mean I shouldn’t be getting high and firing off an AK?

Urban might stroke out this year
There will be no Tebow tears to relieve that stress

The scary thought is if he learns to work the offense without a Tebow.

He did just fine at Utah

they won a national championship with chris leak at QB
i’ve no doubt they’ll be a power without the golden child.

@bammer: yeah, but they didn’t win the BCSCG that year in Utah. But yes, he did just fine.
@Kelph: They will be, and I presume they’ll have a more prolific offense with a pure passer in the pocket if he doesn’t do the “two-QB” system. You know what they say…

Deja-Vue...
isn’t this the exact same thing we were hearing from Bama coaches before last year. We all know how that turned out. We need to be prepared every game.
I remember....
I remember year before last when we lost to them and they threw balls of sugar at us leaving the stadium. Some of my friends here where I live said they have been known for this kind of thing for years when they play other teams. Be that as it may, we need to behave ourselves, but play so hard they will never forget it. Remember the old Crimson Tide of years and years ago when players flew all over the field stopping a player in their tracks and leading to another victory for the Tide. Roll Tide.
Targets on your back now
It is some-what of a relief to have that target off of our backs. We can focus on football now, not defending a trophy. Good luck this year Tide, it is going to rough!
