Tennessee Titans Sue Kiffin, USC
Looks like Fisher and the Titans are more than a little irked over Kiffin's lack of decorum in hiring away Kennedy Pola days before training camp was due to start.

noticed the wording of suit suggests the trojans were offering more than scholarships to recruits. either a delightful dig or a development we’ll all enjoy when disposition time gets here.

That sent my brain for a spin around the track at about 100MPH. Some things that occurred to me during that trip:
1 – “other incentives” could be as innocuous as meal plans, opportunities to play college football at USC, promises not to redshirt them, or anything else. This is probably just lawyerly casting a wide net. But…
2 – It could be a barb to try to keep USC from fighting jurisdiction, hinting that if they question it, the Titans will do everything they can to find a player from Tennessee who was recruited improperly — not because that would help or harm their case, but as an incentive for USC to leave the issue alone.
3 – It could be an attempt to make USC’s recruiting practices relevant to the suit, thereby exposing them to discovery. That’s another one that probably wouldn’t help their case too much, but it could certainly motivate USC to toss some cash at the problem in hopes that it goes away.
I’m betting it’s (1), but (2) and (3) are fun to think about.

Is it just me...
Or does anybody else think its strange that Kiffin waited until @ 2 weeks before fall practice to hire an offensive coordinator? Seems like pretty poor planning to me. I could be missing something though, I don’t really have my finger on the pulse of Trojan football.
Maybe they couldn't find anyone to take the job until then

waiting to dump mcnair long after he had become radioactive
bit them in the ass. which is their own fault, really. instead of admitting the guy was a screwup and cutting ties they held onto him until his contract ran out and the off-season was more than half over. the only feasible reason is that they are so determined to keep up the charade that they are unwitting victims in the bush scandal (since mcnair was little more than a glorified runner for whatever agent was interested in trojan players). i guess that helps them sleep better at night, for whatever that’s worth.
