Clearly the c-17 was spliced in cause

You could see another cell phone in the pic, plus the quality of the video was different than the first part. But still agreed it’s odd.

Hearing the plane overhead...

was that the stadium’s sound system playing the band score? If that’s the case, it sure was loud. I guess most of that will be absorbed by the crowd of over 101,000 !!

Curious about the flyover

It was a scheduled event. UA staff were notified, but no reason for the flyover was offered.

Maybe it was a test run for dropping turkeys for a Thanksgiving promo.

it would make sense...

that it was done to test the durability of the stadium to the flyover as well as give pilots a preview of what to expect with the new additions.

Information about the flyover and video of Bryant-Denny.

I was reading a post from another board back on 06/30/2010 and stumbled across this. Thought doing a tour like that would be so cool. The link below is the thread I found.
