Just heard reference to this on JOX and wanted to check it out for myself. The reason I post this is because of the Dareus investigation but also a comment the writer made, while on JOX, that sent chills up my spine.
According to him, this investigation has the potential of being a bloodbath for several schools and will take about 2-3 months to come to fruition. He hinted at the fact that there were "legs" to each of the schools that were under investigation.
I wasn't sure how to define that since some schools have officially been told they are being looked into while others seem to be more player/individually focused (regarding eligibility).
The fact that a UNC coach (Blake) used to work for an agent (Pro Tect) then UNC. Shortly thereafter a UNC player (for the first time) signs with this same agency. Now we have the Austin case.
In short if a coach was an active participant in this and if there are similar situations with other schools currently under investigation (involving some major agents), then you get the "bloodbath" scenario.
I just hope Alabama isn't one of these schools.
