Penn State Gameday Itenerary

First time to T-Town for the PSU game. Will be there for Friday and Saturday. Can you long time veterans of the stadium help me develop an itenerary for those 2 days. My daughter is interested in the school and we plan to visit the campus on Friday and check out the town as well.  I definitely want to visit the Bryant Museum as well. I am also curious to know any information about admission standards for the school as well. What type of SAT and ACT scores will be enough to gain admission. Thanks in advance and RTR!

Admission Requirements for Freshman Students

The University of Alabama employs a competitive admission process that includes reviewing and evaluating each application on an individual basis for an applicant’s abilities as a student and a scholar. Decisions about the potential for your academic success at UA are based on your performance on the ACT and/or SAT, your high-school grade point average, and your high-school course schedule. (For example: a student with a 21 ACT or 1000 SAT along with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 should be successful at the University.)

As for a Friday itinerary

I’d definitely suggest signing up for a campus tour: http://gobama.ua.edu/visits/

Also, it might be a worthwhile effort to do a departmental visit (especially if your daughter has a specific major in mind): http://gobama.ua.edu/visits/othertours.html

And if you want to go to the Bryant Museum,

it’ll be much less crowded on Friday, if you have time to make it over there.

Of course that’ll be true of almost everything on campus.

I agree about departmental visits

Most professors in the departments I’m familiar with would be happy to spend a little time talking to prospective students. Make sure to shoot them an e-mail in advance to make sure they have the available time, though.
