Auburn's defense is on cloud nine today. This often maligned group has to feel like they can now win any game on the schedule. A team's psyche is just as important as the physical aspect. Roof announced to the country that his defense is back. Thursday's win will pay dividends the rest of the year.
I totally understand linking TET is a banable offense, but this one is too good to pass up. Maybe I'm just a Bama homer, but were we watching the same game last night? MSU had open receivers everywhere and if they had a serviceable QB, they win by at least 14. It's just amazing to me that fans can't look past their own homerism and see how bad their team played.

Seriously
Receivers were open all night, but their quarterback couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn. They got decent pressure, but weren’t dominant against the running game.

while watching the game I wasn’t thinking, “Man, if Auburn just played this much better, they’d be blowing MSU out of the water”. In fact, it was the other way around.
Alabama football....The only addiction God wholeheartedly approves of..
It seems to me that...
if Miss St. would have kept Relf in and just run/option, it would have been a different outcome. I have no clue why they were so hell-bent in throwing the ball…

Right on this, I thought they were having success running. Their receivers let them down.

Especially after...
recovering the onside kick… 3 passes, 3 and out. Did not understand it.

I was pretty amazed at how bad some of the QB's throws were.
Seemed like the majority were bouncing off the turf or not going anywhere near anyone. arrgghhh I’m still frustrated from that last series! You needed 10 more yards to try a field goal, and you got zilch! gaahhhh
If I'm wearing a turban, it means Auburn is playing Iraq.
I thought the last 4 MSU play calls were crap.
They had time, before the silly sack, to run the ball. MSU went pass crazy.
1/2 the time their QB's missed the receivers. The other 1/2 the receivers dropped balls that hit them in their hands.
I would not feel too good about that win if I was an aubie.

yeah they pretty much put shit on tet
Game analysis is always full of rainbows and unicorns. Horrible writing. No wonder they have ten comments on a lively thread. I farted and jay coulter came out.

Did you throw up a little...
after typing that out?

Yes...
But the sunshine pumping comparison of the Soviets still seems like a good example (hence the comrades reference).
Fumbles. It was always Fumbles
Back from where?
I was really suprised that this game simply came down to which was worse…MSU’s offense or Barn’s D and they definitely don’t see that . Mullen/Koenig(sp?) play calling and personel choices after the 3rd quarter TD looked too familiar. Barn will still lose 3-4 IMO and TET is not for content, but a good laugh when you really need one!

I hope the team (Auburn)
feels this way (WE ARE BACK) because they are so far from “good” it isn’t even funny. I thought before last night Clemson had a decent shot at beating them. I am more cofident than before that it will happen.
Just because you are lucky doesn’t mean you are also good.
As much as I hate Auburn I hate Tenn. that much more.
Auburn's downfall will be...
Cam thinking he must be the whole offense and in doing so, become predictable. Miss St. hadn’t learn how to keep the play in front of them.

Excatly what I was saying last night. They MSU D kept over running the play.
MSU receivers had too many drops when the ball was on the money.

Somebody needs to tell...
the Bulldog play caller to watch the results of his play calling and get a clue. When the running game is working, stick with it.

And the AU offense scored zero in the 2nd half.
MSU made serious defensive adjustments at the half and the barners had nutting in response offensively. One trick pony?
Interesting poll...
they graded their team’s performance with a B and C (highest two). RBR showing their disdain with the D and F. (pure speculation)

Upon further review....
MSU receivers still can’t catch a cold and the Auburn D is easier to penetrate then a $2 hooker,

Things I learned from this game
1) MissSt is a mediocre quarterback away from being an average SEC football team
2) Auburn’s unstoppable offense is clearly stoppable.
3) Noone from the SEC headquarters has ever been to a game in Starkville (since they thought their rules would make any kind of difference)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I heard bells ringing during the plays.
And I don’t mean from the hard tackles.

Four words after watching this game.

Unless they can come up with...
an even more crafty series of trick plays and guerrilla football to “dominate” Bama for 58 minutes.
And that’s exactly what they’ll attempt to do…

i had to work last night so i didn't get to watch...
so i was forced to listen on the radio (and wow is that horrible), from what i heard the barn’s defense is awesome, cam newton is unstoppable, and the game was only close because of the ref’s, the wind, or MSU is obviously a 10 win team. also, as my barn friend said, “looks like there is another great team in the SEC west, this ain’t sly croom’s mississippi state”
Auburn is nothing
but one player and Malzahn’s Magical Manual of Trick Plays.
It’s ridiculous. That team looked beyond pathetic…it was almost laughable, if I weren’t so disgusted that these teams are in the SEC.
Gimmicks do nothing except state the obvious: we can’t play fundamentals so we have to trick you to win. Come on, Auburn…grow a set, line up, and play. Get your beatings handed to you and at least take it like men.
Bammer et al are right…if Miss St. has a quarterback worth a crap and even one single receiver capable of not dropping a wide open ball, they win this game handily. And that is really sad, cause Miss St. looked horrible.
ahhh, cloud 9 in Auburn is this
