Robbie Green
I apologize in advance I believe this violates some length and format mores, but even unofficially, what happened to Robbie Green? I heard PED's when this first came up, discounted it, but after all I have seen, this makes sense. My only problem with that is I would think that would be hard to keep under wraps. Can anybody fill me in on what they know/think? I think I understand but am not sure and being the curious person I am every few weeks when I think about it it drives me nuts.
FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

It's never been officially said...
Most seem to think it had something to do with drugs, whether that be recreational or performance-enhancing. Again, though, there is no official word on it, so it’s all speculation at best.
Awesome screen name, by the way. Somewhere Andy Van Slyke is still having nightmares.

There is no use in speculating. They are very good at keeping the details under raps to
potect the player when it is breaking team rules. We won’t ever know.

why the hell does this post have 8 recs?

I JUST thought the same exact thing...

It's not just this one.
It’s pretty much every recent post. I mean, I’m just as curious about Robbie Green as anyone else, and I think people should help Bama fans in L.A. to find a bar to watch the game at, but seriously? 8 and 9 recs?
Noticed that. This new bunch are some rec'n fools.

I joked yesterday that I was going to start "rec'ing the shit out of some stuff"
after I learned how the “recommended fanposts” thing works. I didn’t do it, but maybe somebody else took it seriously, to be funny and/or a prick.
^This^
I’m not saying these posts aren’t interesting, but interesting isn’t enough to get rec’d (in my opinion). I think you really have to sit down and think “is this post important/exceptional enough to be here for a couple weeks?” before rec’ing a post.

yeah
We upped the number of recs you need to sticky a post and yetI still see 5 rec’d posts that I don’t see the need in stickying. Not that some of them aren’t interesting, but I don’t need to see them for 2 weeks.

Apparently...
Apparently some people are rec’ing fanshots and fanposts to make them “recommended” so they will show up longer. If it really turns into a big deal, we can just up the number of rec’s it takes to make one show as recommended.

Perhaps we should point out that
you can view older fanshots and fanposts via the menu at the top of the page and that you can increase the number shown on the right through the user settings.

Thanks.
I dig yours too. LOL I’m getting the hang of things here and finally getting around to things like setting an avatar and a sig.

Thanks. It's stolen from a bumper sticker that someone posted on here.

little late
I’m a little late on this post…just saw it. And I see the content has gone in a different direction but I wanted to add my two cents worth on Robbie Green. I heard from a very reliable inside source that it was marijuana that he tested positive for. Take it for what it’s worth.
