Since he apparently lied

He should get four games minimum, that puts him out for three conference games. That includes Arkansas and South Carolina, games that were on the brink for Georgia anyway.

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? The flair for the dramatic? When you're trying to isolate the most impressive aspect of Jason Heyward's game, there's a lot to choose from, and it's only been a month and a half.

Did he lie?

He told the media he’d never been to Miami, but who knows what he told the NCAA? I don’t know if they would make a distinction.

Anyway, you’re right, if he actually lied to the NCAA, he’s going to get at least four games and perhaps a hell of a lot more.

Either way, South Carolina just wet themselves.

That's the question

Though I would assume that if he lied to the media he blame well did to the NCAA

I am not convinced of teams like U Conn

In my opinion, your team will be better after a winning season if you return most of your players, but I still believe a team has to learn how to play in championship games by playing and often losing championship games. It’s that way in high school, college, and the NFL.

It’s infrequent that we see a 3-9 team return 22 starters and win eleven games and it’s not common for an 8-5 team to come back and win eleven games simply because they have the majority of their players returning.

Something has to change. Returning starters are key, but if they weren’t that good in the previous year they won’t magically become better the following year as a direct result of experience.

Experience, of all things, is one of the least important factors in football. I’m not suggesting it’s unimportant, but merely that talent, superior quarterback play, strong run defense, etc. are more important than having experienced players.

I remember one of my teams rivals, when I was in high school, got all this press about having 17 senior starters and 19 starters back. … UNC pulls this one off and Les Miles is gone, and I can guaran-damn-tee you that LSU will find a hell of a lot better coach than Miles as a replacement, and that’s the last thing I want to see.

I'm pulling for NC

although I think LSU wins in a romp.

The reason I will pull for NC is because of their misfortunes with the NCAA. I generally pull for teams hurt by the NCAA unless they are playing Bama or their head coahc is named Kiffin.

As much as I hate Auburn I hate Tenn. that much more.

I'm really excited about this UNC v. LSU game...

I know it’s going to be a snoozer and LSU will win with relative ease, but even so this is probably something we’ve never seen before and will never see again.

And, you know, if this were little league baseball, LSU would just have to show up, throw out the ceremonial first pitch, UNC would automatically forfeit, and then LSU would go to the movies or something. This actually happened as a kid… I threw out the pitch, Sumiton III forfeited, and we went to watch the Barons.

With RB Flares early

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? The flair for the dramatic? When you're trying to isolate the most impressive aspect of Jason Heyward's game, there's a lot to choose from, and it's only been a month and a half.

The Gators absolutely have the dumbest cheers.

They sucked for their first 85 years of football, and they still have that stench on them. I mean they do “2 bits, 4 bits…” as an actual cheer. I haven’t done that since Vacation Bible School. And I don’t care that it’s a 90 year old man that leads it. Does not make it better. And then the finish up the “Go Gators” cheer with the whiny tag line “c’mon gators, get up and go”, which sounds like they’re just begging for anything good to happen.

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? Not sure how proven the RBs are

Johnson and Newton are decent, but there’s no one you could point to and say, “Yeah, 3rd and 2, he’s our guy.” We got at least 2 of those guys. Not saying a Cody Johnson can’t become that guy, but the jury’s out. Also, like Florida, you can’t have a significant schematic change … move from spread to more I-formation and pro-ish set … without some clunkiness. Still, I expect both schools to have 10+ wins. D for both teams should be solid, especially Texas. I don’t see much dropoff there.

That’s where Tressel came from

It's hard to say what's been most impressive. The seamless jump from AA? The ability to hit for average? The ability to hit for power? The 18 walks in 111 trips to the plate? The flair for the dramatic? When you're trying to isolate the most impressive aspect of Jason Heyward's game, there's a lot to choose from, and it's only been a month and a half.
