Remembering Howard Cross
In the latest PLAYING FAVORITES department on CrimsonReplay.com, we turn the spotlight on former Alabama tight end Howard Cross. One of the most formidable tight ends in Tide history, Cross played under both Ray Perkins and Bill Curry in the 1980s before embarking on a 13-year career with the New York Giants, where he was a mainstay of two Super Bowl teams. He was recently inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.
"I always tried to detach myself from the word pro," Cross said. "I loved every minute about playing football."

As one of my boys back in the day, seeing a headline so I think he has passed away is lame.
I understand hate. I'm a Alabama fan.
