Want an Alabama browser theme?

As a longtime user of Firefox, I know there are probably about 50,000 different browser themes available for download out there, including many collegiate themes as well. Given that, I suppose universities finally figured out that if they are going to be out there anyway, they may as well release some of their own.

A few days back, I received an e-mail from the director of product and marketing from a company called Brand Thunder. They specialize in browser makeovers, and apparently they have teamed up with UA to create 'Bama browser themes for both IE and Firefox. Here's a preview shot:

Anyway, just a heads-up for you guys. If you want, you can download them from RollTide.com for free by clicking here.

Thanks OTS...

I was having problems with IE8, so by changing to foxfire and this theme, I’m officially set for the season! Roll Tide!!

None that I know of...

… I’ll drop the guy a line to see if there may be anything to it.

Not yet...

According to the person I’ve been corresponding with, he told me that they do not have one yet, but that they are working on one and hoping to release it in the next several weeks.

D/L'ed it, and it is beautiful. BUT

watchout, it installs Bing as the default search bar.

Firefox is the shit...

… but the best part is all of the add-ons you can download from their site. Millions of cool, little useful things to make for a better browsing experience.

And yeah, I guess I’m not a nerd for saying that. Whatever, I don’t know, I’ve always hated IE for some reason. Even back in the day I was using Netscape Navigator.

I’ve tried Google Chrome some, and it’s not bad at all. I like it better than IE, and it seemed a bit faster than Firefox too. I just couldn’t get away from all of the Firefox add-ons to make the switch.
