"The main reason why there has been a change of bats is because of safety. Balls were turning into bullets due to the contact of an aluminum bat." A new era is beginning in College Baseball, all in the name of safety. While hitters may not care for the change, the effect should be pitching will finally catch up with the hitting in college baseball. This may be a blessing in disguise for the Crimson Tide baseball team as many of their quality hitting lineup left/graduated last year. I fully expect a statistically better year for Kilcrease and the rest of the pitching staff. p.s. forgive the bleacher report link, as it was the only real commentary out in the news world on this development.
