Not defending the look of Auburn fans at all...
But the Girl (getting her second degree at Alabama) had class one night where one of the Birmingham TV station’s sent a reporter to do a Q & A with the Girl’s class. They asked him why people they interview on TV always look like the stereotypical redneck or white trash. He said that those are the only people that are willing to come out for an interview and get on TV. “All of the educated people don’t want to be on TV, so we gotta go with what we got.”
Every single one of those individuals in those Deadspin pictures do not look good/normal/not-trashy at all. Plus, for as many normal people that go to Wal-Mart, they may have chosen to not get a picture with the trophy. When Alabama had their trophy picture opp last year, I didn’t care to go, but I’m sure some of that had to do with the fact that I went to the game.
