Why I Love Alabama

With everything negative going around, I think it's a good time to count my blessings.

Star-divide

I love the University of Alabama for many reasons. I love the atmosphere. I love how I felt at home the moment I stepped onto campus, not as a fan as I had done in the past, but as a high school junior who had been blessed with the opportunity to make an early commitment to attend the University, and to attend on an academic scholarship. This was what my grandfather, father, and aunt had done before me, and I could not have felt more proud to follow in their proverbial footsteps.

I love UA more than my own home town. People are just plain friendly here.

I love the people I have met here. My favorite, of course, is Charlotte, whom y'all know as AccioAlabama. She has helped me with make it through the perils of being a freshman, been my shoulder to cry on, and wallowed in misery with me like a bad breakup after the IB. I've also met tons and tons of people that have taught me more than any class could. We've gone to Waffle House at 2 AM, pulled all-nighters together, and sat out and looked at stars on the Quad.

I love Bryant Denny Stadium. I love saying "Roll Tide" after a first down. I love when the Million Dollar Band comes in. I loved and will sorely miss saying "JUUUUUUUUU". I love cheering like I just won the lottery after every good play. I LOVE singing Rammer Jammer.

I love hearing Denny Chimes when I wake up, during lunch, and before I go to bed.

I love that we emphasize excellence, class, discipline, commitment, toughness, effort, and pride.

I love that we don't have to hide our recruitment dealings, coaching hires, or academic records.

I LOVE SCOTT COCHRAN.

I love the Strip. Yes, some of it is overrated, but it's home to places like Egan's!

I love that when I graduate from here, I can proudly hang my diploma on my office wall and people will look at it knowing that it really means something; not just that I did my 4 years and walked across a stage, but that I was given the opportunity to work my tail off, and that I did.

The list of reasons why I love the U of A can go on and on and on, but I figured that this was enough to get y'all started in adding some more. So, add on!

FanPosts are just that; posts created by the fans. They are in no way indicative of the opinions of SBN and the authors of Roll Bama Roll.

Nice post, BTW, and I’ll add a few of mine.

I love that we derive our name (Crimson Tide) from a metaphorical reference to mud and blood.

I love that ‘Mama called’ the greatest coach in college football history back home.

I love that our first All-American tried to rip off his own torn ear to finish a football game.

Mainly, I love what Mark Barron loves most about Alabama football: winning. Roll Tide.

And then, right when I turn around to go around the train, it ends.

I love how there is an emphasis on the younger generations learning about the history....

As I grew up, I loved hearing stories of the past. And no… we aren’t stuck on the past. We just appreciate it more than others.

I used to play a game with my dad when I was younger,

probably 6 or 7, and he would quiz me on all the SEC teams (mascots, locations of the school, current coaches), and then quiz me on Alabama facts. i would quiz him too, but of course being 6 years old I thought he knew everything about football ever so I would mainly let him talk about the greatest games he’d seen.
This happened every single drive to the beach, mountains, and sometimes on the way to school.
To say there was an “emphasis” on the history for me is spot on, if not an understatement.

Totally agree.

I think it’s a lame attempt to try and demean our love for tradition because WE ACTUALLY HAVE ONE. There are a lot of schools who are trying to make something from nothing.

We are one of the few schools, a traditional power, who can boast of legendary games, classic matchups, quality coaches, etc.

Just think about our uniqueness: The uniforms, name, mascot, houndstooth. It’s really amazing. I know ESPN is having fun with the Roll Tide commercial, but it’s spot on and so TRUE. How long have we been doing that?

We live and root for a team that has few peers. Now the stadium has become among the best in the nation. How scary is the fact that we have a college team that is more plugged in, hyped up, passionate an stronger than most Pro football teams.

Talent can only get you so far. Give me a player who may have less talent, but has the heart of a champion and the will to succeed.

It appears I need to start saving now, as I will pay out of state tuition too. (Unless I get a great new job in the promised land!) I expect to have to pay all costs aside from academic scholarships.
Your story was an inspiration. I wish a lot of luck to your daughter. What was her major? We at RBR would like to help her land a job if possible!

Congratulations!

Mine came on the date of the Iron Bowl this past year, though he wasn’t due until January 21st. According to Kleph, he knew what was going to happen and came early to prevent me from having to witness it firsthand.

Anyway, 5026’s post makes me feel the same way. I don’t make much at the moment, and probably will be in the 35,000 range myself even ifwhen I start making more, but it’s encouraging to know that it is possible to provide for your kid in such a big way on that kind of money if you set your mind to it.

Great post.

I can only hope to be able to do what you have done (with THREE KIDS – yikes). Here’s hoping they excel in school.

The reason I’m a fan is because of my father. I remember the times we walked a couple of miles to get to the stadium. I remember watching the Bear when I was a kid and some of the greatest players of all time.

That’s why the Penn St. games have meant so much, because I remember watching them with my dad.

I actually got tickets as a present for him this year – a way to say thanks for the things he has done for me. Unfortunately his poor health prevented him from going, but seeing Joe Pa in our stadium just brought a rush of memories back for me.

Words are hard to describe the feeling you get as you become older. You appreciate more of what you have now, along with the experiences you made in the past. Every season becomes more special to me.

Throw in the new friends you make along the way and it’s a wonderful ride when you’re rollin’ with the Tide!!!

I love the fact that people know us all over the world. I’ve been to three different continents and when I’ve told local people I was from Alabama, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how many people know who the Crimson Tide is. It’s a super rad feeling to be in a taxi in Greece or on a beach in New Zealand and have locals say, “Oh, you’re from Alabama? Roll Tide!” That doesn’t happen to Auburn or Tennessee or LSU and I love it. I’ve been invited to Novi Sad, Serbia by a teacher and one of the things they want me to talk to them about is the tradition of Alabama football!

I met an American over here (in Denmark)

I was wearing my Bama shirt and this was an hour after we lost to LSU this year. My friend introduced me to the American and said I had studied in the States. The American said “Oh, where?” I said Alabama and pointed to the A on my shirt. My friend then said that I dug football. The American said (at this point I should add he was a yankee) “what’s the big team in Alabama again?” Stunned at his stupidity as I was wearing a UA shirt, I said “Alabama” and pointed to the A again. He looked like it wasn’t registering and I continued “There’s that and then I guess you’ve heard of Auburn.” He said “Oh yeah! That’s rigt! Auburn!”

And right then and there I understood why y’all seceded.

-UA’s campus is one of the most beautiful campuses in America.

-T-Town is the perfect place to live if you’re young.

-I’ve never seen as many sexy women in one place as I have in T-Town on gameday.

-And I created this spot just to say you couldn’t even pay me $200k to live in Auburn for one year, let alone four…

I’ve been to plenty of Auburn games (Heck, I was born and raised roughly 30 minutes away), Florida games, and UGA games, but nothing compares to Alabama and T-Town, especially on gameday. While Florida and UGA are not too far behind, Auburn is not even close. Besides Troy, I can’t imagine any other college atmosphere and town being any more boring than Auburn is.

Win or lose (in football of course), UA is ten times greater than AU and T-Town is ten times greater than Auburn, Alabama.

I love hearing "Roll Tide" no matter where I am. Damn, we're everywhere.

I love that li’l bit of home I can plop on my TV each Saturday (and other days with other sports and other media streams) to help ease the sting of living so far away from Bama.
I love how young men put that jersey on and play with a determination and pride that is unmatched in history.
I love how I can go on like this for days, all because I was blessed by God to be a Bama fan.

Well...

I chose this school over UGA, which was 30 minutes from home (and thus family, friends, pets, and Boyfriend), cheaper, and the easier choice to make.
I came to Tuscaloosa all alone – no friends, no car, and the only money I had was a cool 10k in loans that all went straight to the school.
Every single hardship has been worth it.
As loan maximums have gone up, things have gotten easier, but I’d go back to living off ramen if it meant that I got to stay here.
I’m thankful every day that I get to go to class and enjoy an environment where I can talk about political philosophy and last Saturday’s game in the same breath.
I love that my professors know my name and care about me even in a school of 30,000 students.
I love the beautiful blue sky and bright sunshine that I get to see almost every day. Obviously, today’s Snowpocalypse is an exception…
I love that a few of my friends who went to UGA have admitted that they wished they had come here instead.
I love the campus’s architecture and historical buildings.
I could go on forever, but I’ll skip to the most important part…

I love that I’m part of something bigger than myself. I love the Alabama community. Whether it’s alumni, fans, current students, etc., I love the fellowship we have. I’ve never experienced anything like the Alabama fandom, and I doubt I’ll ever find anything else like it.

Winning the championship my freshman year was pretty cool too ;)

All of the above resonate with me, plus

1.The way I felt at my son-in-law’s Alabama graduation ceremony in December when the speaker asked all UA alumni to stand, and I proudly did, decked out in my crimson and houndstooth.
2. My earliest memory of watching UA football— chanting “Musso, Musso, Musso,” along with “Roll Tide!”
3. The fact that all other programs are insanely jealous of us and we are ALWAYS the team to beat.
4. That we don’t have to be “in your face” with our “Roll Tide,” unlike Auburn, where, when we attended our son’s graduation , (he went there b/c only Ga Tech and AU offered his degree program :( my husband and I almost got physically sick at hearing “War Eagle” at least 250 times during the day. They feel the need to be so over-the-top b/c they have to compensate for their inadequacies in comparison to UA. In contrast, at my son-in-law’s recent graduation from Bama, I heard “Roll Tide” once from the podium. So classy, we are about much, much more than sports.
5. Prothro’s catch – Every time I watch it, I am amazed.
6. That our history is the richest in college football and is so multi-dimensional with tradition, pride, success, and character that we stand alone.

Best thread in a while!

1. I love educating others on the history of our football team. We have a couple that are close friends and not football fans at all. In ‘08 they came over to watch BAMA’s opening game. I used the opportunity to teach them some history. They have since watched all but three games with us and to the dismay of the viles fans here in TN they are now BAMA fans.
2. I love that eventhough my three children were born and raised in TN they want to and are going to attend Alabama. My oldest daughter starts this fall.
3. I love that my wife, once a vile fan, has seen the light and crossed over to the good side.
4. I love that when a team (Penn St.) comes to visit their fans talk about how great we were to them and how much they enjoyed being in Tuscaloosa and eventhough they did not win, they “came away with a smile”. That was a direct quote from a neighbor who is a Penn St. Alum and went to the game.

As is the case with most of you, I could go on and on.

The first time I stepped on campus, it felt like home.

I came from out of state and started there without knowing a soul in Tuscaloosa, but it doesn’t take long at all to become a part of it.

I love that a lot of these comments include an event where you felt a part of the action. Mine is that as a freshman in the MDB, I was on the sideline behind the USM bench when I saw The Catch. I felt so close to the action. There had been a benchwarming USM wide-out taunting the band (classless) because we were losing. He didn’t have anything to say after The Catch.

I also love that my degree took 5 years and I feel so fortunate to have still been in school when we went to Pasadena my super-senior year. I love the hope that no 4-year class will have to go without a national championship for the next while.

I love that I was there and a part of it.

I lived in Tuscaloosa Jan. ’83 through July ’91. Yes, I started school 3 weeks before Coach Bryant died.

For all the changes through the years, it’s a time-warp to walk around the Quad, even now. Memories in every step, it seems.

I love that, even in the darkest football days of the ’80s, we remained Alabama. We would be back, with a vengeance, no matter what.

Amen, City Cafe; Archibald’s; the original Dreamland, before the IRS, when it was cash-only, no bibs, no logos all over everything; the Rib Cage — who remembers that?; Kwik Snak!; and of course, the Booth and Egan’s.

Going back even further, anyone recall the Allman Brothers “hoax” show at Coleman Coliseum in the late 70s?

As a coach told his team after winning a championship, don’t let this be the single greatest moment of your life. But life in Tuscaloosa certainly included some of the happiest times I’ve ever had. ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Kwik Snak!

Some of my best memories are of Kwik Snak on game days. I worked there and it was amazing listening to all the stories.

The tips were great, too. One football weekend paid my rent for two months. I love that when people came back, they wanted to help students they didn’t know.

I love that even though I didn't ...

go to Bama, people who did don’t look down on me (well, most don’t). I’m as big a fan as any alumni even if I didn’t go there. I hope my daughter will want to go, though, maybe on a dance or softball scholarship. :-)

My daddy raised me right, letting my brother and me watch Bear’s show and all the games that were on TV. We learned about Lee Roy Jordan, Musso, Stabler, all those guys, until we were old enough to pick our own favorites. Kevin Turner was my favorite in high school. Bennett, DT, John Mangum. My aunt and uncle lived in John Hannah’s old house in Albertville, and we thought that was the coolest thing. When my high school classmates Antonio Langham and Tarrant Lynch signed with Bama, I couldn’t have been more excited.

I love Alabama, and I had a journalism scholarship but just couldn’t afford room, board, etc. Someday I will take a class or two so I can ease that regret.

Anyway, Roll Tide!

This nearly brought me to tears. It makes me realize even more how much I missed by not attending UA (through no fault of my own. They don’t offer my major). I plan on doing a why I hate Auburn post after graduation in May.

by CountryBoy on Jan 10, 2011 5:55 PM CST reply actions

I didn't have the good fortune

of even paying attention to college football growing up (nearest college was Cal Poly). When we moved here in 1997 (thanks to the USAF), I kept getting asked the infamous question: Are you for Alabama or Auburn?

It took me a while to decide, But based upon careful observation of the fans/supporters of both schools, I decided that I would rather be associated with the folks from UA. They just seemed to be more comfortable in their own skin and didn’t have to be so “in your face” about their school.

Thanks to some careful planning, I was able to avoid moving the family again to meet military needs and retired 2 years ago. Still in Alabama.

My son, who was offered full engineering scholarships at Auburn, Miss St, and Ga Tech instead chose to go to UA because it just felt right. In the 3.5 years he has been there he has gone from introverted boy to self confident young man. His first football game, I saw him on TV (to his mother’s dismay, his chest was painted with the question mark in a group of students spelling “Got Saban?”
Yes, he is on a 5 year plan (engineering is tough), but even 1.5 years away from graduation, he already is getting job offers.

So my thanks to UA for setting my son upon a path for success. You have my, and his, eternal gratitude.

Well, Miss HoundstoothHeart ...

You’ve really struck a chord here that conjures up many very pleasant memories. Your posting and some of these comments should be taped to the wall in the football locker room … I sure wish it had been before the last Iron bowl!

Much like 5026’s story, my daughter will graduate this semester. We’re also out-of-state … waaaay out-of-state. We live in Los Angeles and my daughter started her college adventure in beautiful Santa Barbara overlooking the ocean. I’m a BAMA graduate (from Pensacola, FL) and on a visit back one summer she got together with one of her cousins who had recently graduated from BAMA. Before i knew it we were taking a visit to the campus. It just so happened our visit was during homecoming and just as some have said here, almost as soon as she set foot on campus she turned to me and said, “this is it, all I’ve ever wanted, this is home.” Well, Daddy nearly fell over and said YES!! somehow I will make it happen.

It’s been a wonderful experience for my Southern Belle in training and for me too! I’m going to REALLY miss her being there but know we’ll be coming back many more times. I love it when she calls and I can hear Denny Chimes or the train in the background … sure takes me back.

Who knows, maybe her babies will grow up to be Southern Belles and Gents too. ROLL TIDE!!

Wow, she sounds kind of like the opposite of me.

I’m a born-and-raised Alabama girl, but for a few years I wanted to go to UCLA (theatre and directing are now my minor, but at the time they were going to be my majors). Yep, I had been planning my college career since the 8th grade haha.
Once I was old enough I was taken to a few football games, and of course this was always in the back of my mind, but I was convinced CA was the place for me.
Then, as a Junior, I just got a bad gut feeling about moving out of state. I also took my first dual-enrollment class which just so happened to be Psych 101. I fell in love with the study of the mind and the idea that one day I could help end the stigma against people who are hurting in ways we can’t see.
In the words of Bear, “Mama called”. I toured the campus officially for the first time, and felt the exact same way your daughter did:

this is it, all I’ve ever wanted, this is home

And for all y'all that

are just starting out and have or will have kids it is possible to save for their education if you are willing to have a little delayed gratification. I could write a book but – 1. Don’t go in debt except for your house, 2- Save with a system- x amount- or x- percentage. I put back 3,600 a year saving 300 a month and in 20 years I had 100k (I made investment money too.) 3- You will need to put what you save somewhere it can grow. I’m not going to telling you where that might be but I was safe buying bonds that had a high rating, historically strong mutal funds and an occasional blue chip stock. Wal-Mart stock was actually very good to me a while back. But, I would not use what I saved to speculate.

Well, it is possible even if you live out of state. There are of course scholarships, loans etc. I’m glad I never had to take a loan but would have if i had not saved enough.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

He's a UT grad

…but Dave Ramsey has some good tips on getting to a position to do things like save for you kids education, wealth building, etc. It’s all common sense to some of us, but to others there is a need for a little financial education.

Ya, and he’s a humble UT grad from years ago so I don’t take that knowledge and apply it against him…

…much.

It's not what you've done but what you are doing that matters.

My recommendations:

enroll your kids in SAT/ACT prep classes. SAT prep was mandatory for me to graduate in Georgia. I took a practice test at the beginning of the class and did pretty well, but by the end of the course I made a good enough score to get my full out-of-state tuition – a cool $80,000 value. The 200+ point boost the class gave me was worth its weight in gold. (I used the Kaplan program.)

Try “different” sports. My roommate gets a lot of perks (and money) for being on crew, and had I continued with golf, I could have gotten a scholarship. With less popular sports, you don’t need to be a phenomenal natural talent just to make the team.

Most of all, don’t beat yourself up if you can’t pay every penny of the way. My parents have been broke as long as I can remember, and I’m putting myself through school. I don’t resent or hate them; I understand that they’re victims of an economy beyond their control. They’ve helped out with a couple hundred dollars each semester to make ends meet, and that’s all I really needed.
In a weird way, I’m actually pretty grateful that I was put in such a tight money situation. I’ve learned a lot about myself (and budgeting!) from not having much, and I have a killer work ethic from knowing that I won’t eat if I don’t go to work all summer/winter. My parents have an emergency fund set aside for me if something happens, and that’s all I really need.

I haven't started saving yet

Because I still have some credit card debt left over from my undergrad days when I was a little too loose with my money. I figure I should pay that off first since the APR on the debt is a lot higher than the interest I would be gaining from savings or a CD.

First of all, great post Houndstooth

I am proud and love Alabama for many of the things already noted in this post but I just wanted to share one more.

I am currently down in old Mexico helping their military out with a little cartel problem they have down here.
On Monday night as various Mexican military dignitaries welcomed us and generally blew smoke up our collective asses, I was consumed with a quest to get a score update.
I don’t have a govt Blackberry (refuse to sign for one) so I was reduced to trying to convince a non-sports fan buddy of mine to give me updates. As my frustration grew with his piss-poor efforts to get timely score updates, an USMC General Officer approached me and asked if I had any idea what was the score? This General had the thickest Boston accent I have ever heard and after I told him that the Barn was up 19-11, he bagan swearing a blue streak.
I asked him “so sr, you pulling for Oregon or just hate the SEC or something” and he told me “son I can’t stand Auburn”. Naturally I assumed it had something to do with Cam and the general slimeyness surrounding the program, but no.
He then told me a lengthy story about how his youngest daughter had decided to attend the Capstone the minute she stepped foot on the campus on a visit from San Diego. His other three kids had all attended Boston College but his youngest went with her heart and he too is now a diehard Crimson Tide fan. They have attended many games together and he was even at last year’s BCSCG with his little girl. So even in Mexico, across service lines, in the middle of the Sonora Desert I got a Roll Tide from a complete stranger.

That is one of the best things

about Alabama you find Bama fans literally everywhere.

And try this story. My wife has been to mainland China many times and has many good friends there. One time, a young man (about 25) named Ruynsung told my wife (about 45) he had done something really bad in his life that he was going to have to tell her. This Chinese man had served as her translator and helper for months and they had become friends. He told her that after he told her this bad thing he had done he would understand if she did not want to talk to him anymore. Of course she asked, “What is it, what is so terrible that I would not want to be your friend?”

“Well, miss”, he said, “I have joined the Communist Party” (Which by the way only about 5% of the pop. are party members.)

My wife replied “As that it, that is the terrible news. Wow, I was really concerned. I thought you were going to tell me you had become an Auburn man. Being a communist is nothing, we can work around that, now say Roll Tide real quick.”

Obviously the young man, really deep in the back woods of China knew nothing about Auburn but he soon learned about Alabama.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

Yet one more reason...

So I’m on my way home from Mexico today on 4 different planes with multiple delays. I missed my connecting flight in Dallas due to an enormous backlog at customs. Rather than get angry I accept the fact that I won’t be getting back to San Antonio till well after midnight.

As I’m boarding the plane I notice a familiar face sitting in buisness class wearing a Crimson Nike shirt. So I think, what the hell and I say “excuse me aren’t you Greg McElroy” and he replies “yes sir” (guess I look old). As we shake hands I tell him “Roll Tide, good luck with the NFL Draft and thanks for the memories”, He gives me a loud “Roll Tide” in reply and the doofus wearing an Auburn hat three rows back looks sheepishly out the window.
All the frustration of 14 hours of travel faded away.

I married an AU grad and tried hard to make my only child love Alabama like I do, but he had more AU cousins, friends and teachers and he wore orange and blue until he was 17. That’s when he was selected to attend Boys’ State and it just happened to be in Tuscaloosa that year. The boy wore his Auburn hat to Tuscaloosa! I made him leave it in the car to have lunch with me before I dropped him off. He didn’t like Boys’ State, but he loved The University of Alabama. He loved that Big Al made him take his AU hat off when he went into the Ferg. The next year he had offers for full academic scholarships from both UA and AU. I had to make him go to Auburn for E-Day for engineering students. I never tried to influence him towards Bama because I wanted it to be his decision. After he decided on Alabama I told him that I just felt it was going to be wonderful. He’s a junior engineering student and loves The University just as I do. We won a championship his sophomore year!!! It’s still awesome to hear him say Roll Tide!! I had one of the best times of my life at the Capital One Bowl game this year singing Yea Alabama with him at least seven times!! Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Boys State was in Tuscaloosa?!

I had to go to Samford when I went. :-\

Where did they hold it? (i.e. what building did they use for the assembly?

If Bama never wins another national championship, the Barn will match our total in the year 2593. Please God, don't let me have a Futurama incident.

Congrats on Boys State!

but sorry you didn’t get to go to Tuscaloosa!! They got to stay in the new Honors dorms and their full assemblies were in Morgan Auditorium. It wasn’t in Tuscaloosa the year before he went, but I think it’s been there since then . . . great for academic recruiting . . . sure worked for my son.

I was born, raised, and still live in Connecticut – But a buddy of mine and I have both been Bama fans since we were little kids. I guess mama called us. Anyways, I love my yearly trips to Alabama to see a game. i love that over the years, we’ve made many friends in Alabama, that we tailgate with and party the whole weekend. i love that they’vemade us feel like family. I love that my 2 sons- 12 & 10 years old have Bama posters, pennants etc in their rooms and wear their Bama t-shirts etc around all the time. I Love going to the Tuscaloosa Elks Lodge on our yearly visit. I Love getting to the campus every year and going to Eagan’s etc and other joints on the strip. I love that I’m semi addicted to Bama sites like this, Tidesports and others. I love following the recruiting. I love Bama and Bama football. I’m taking my oldest daughter on a visit to the campus this spring in hopes she might want to go to Bama.I Love saying Roll Tide!

Wow great post Houndstooth

I was born in 1960 and I remember watching black and white tv and trying to figure out why the ball carrier kept running up the middle instead of going around the pile, I was 5 or 6 and the thought of pulling for my own state made me a solid Alabama fan early on. I went to my first game in 1972 and I’ll never forget standing in front of the student section and listening to the Rooool Tiiiiiide Roooooll it was too much causing me to get chills and then the very appearance of the team as they gathered in the tunnel and the crowd noise slowly building to a roar I had never heard before , and erupting as they ran on the field . I loved how every football player tossed a football back and forth in the end zone in front of a bigger than life Bear Bryant as he leaned up against the goal post was too much for sure . I definitely had an out of body experience . I really do love the Crimson Tide .

As someone who has known houndstooth a long time

I’d say she’d be a great person to give a campus tour! (Even if I don’t quite endorse your choice of university)
Thought that picture looked familiar on fanposts so I figured I had to comment! Its great to hear how much you love UAT although you could have been successful wherever you ended up. (But we both know there was only really ever one option for you!)
Oh and houndstooth… you forgot to mention how much you loved the IB this year!

Hahaha, nice to see you on SBNation!

You’re too kind. I was just thinking about Gifted with Mrs.C the other day (good times hah!). You’re totally right about there only being one option.
Rubbing it in about the IB, but I love ya anyways :)
