Looking at the Alabama record book

Just looking through the media guide at the record book for career and season numbers after each game and I see that some Alabama players will likely end up in next year's version.  Just going to list some who are close:

Marquise Maze: 111 career catches, 1572 receiving yards, 8 TDs, 14.2 YPR

Maze should pass Keith Brown in the next couple of games (Keith Brown has 117 career receptions) to be 5th all-time. He needs to average almost 4 receptions in 6 games to pass David Bailey at 4th place all-time (Bailey has 132 receptions).  It will be hard for Maze to pass Freddie Milons for 3rd all-time (152 career receptions).

For career receiving yards, Maze needs to average about 49 yards per game in the next 6 games to pass both Keith Brown (1863 yards) and Freddie Milons (1859 yards).  Needs to average 83 yards a game to pass Ozzie Newsome (2070 yards).  Julio and DJ Hall are out of reach.

His current YPR should be good for 5th all-time (for WRs with over 100 receptions. Julio is 4th with 14.8 YPR

Trent Richardson: 372 attempts, 2180 rushing yards, 25 rushing TDs, 2721 yards from scrimmage, 3418 all-purpose yards, 31 total TDs

Richardson should pass Johnny Musso for career rushing yards and 5th all-time.  Richardson needs 561 rushing yards to top Musso (about 93 YPG in 6 games).  To pass Ingram for 4th all-time Richardson will need about 135 YPG, including a SEC title game and bowl game.  

Career rushing TDs, Richardson needs 5 more to pass Tony Nathan for 5th all time (29 career rushing TDs).  Humphrey sits at 4th with 33 and Musso sits at 3rd with 34, those are possible especially with a SEC championship and bowl game.

Richardson has now passed Bobby Marlow for 5th all-time in total TDs.  Marlow had 30.  Johnny Musso is next with 38.

Richardson needs 418 total yards to pass David Palmer for 5th all-time in All-purpose yards (3916). Ingram is 4th with 3976.  In fact Richardson could put up numbers to get to 2nd all-time. Won't be easy (about 125 all-purpose yards a game for 8 games).  Bobby Humphrey's hold on 1st should be safe.

I will try to look for some other plays on the cusp of Alabama records.  As well, try to keep updated on Maze and Richardson's quest to hit the Alabama record books!
