Well, I think everyone knows how big this game is, and how even the most sensible folks can lose their minds when a game of this magnitude and importance happens upon their favorite football team. I know everyone makes their own sacrifices to the football gods each Saturday, and I was trying to think of what I could possibly do to curry favor with them myself. I decided that one of my favorite things to look at would be worthy of sacrificing. On my laptop, for the past couple of years or so, I have had an image for my background that drives my wife absolutely crazy, but it’s just such a beautiful work of art to me. She allows me to only have this for my background image during football season, so long as I don’t allow our children to see it.
Anyway, as hard of a decision as this was for me (I’ve gone back and forth about this for days), this game is so immensely important that I feel the need to sacrifice something like this that is extremely special to me, so here’s my offer to the football gods if they will grant us victory this weekend.
Now, I realize that this may upset some folks, but I love America and all she stands for, and I believe in the ideals and spirit of fairness and equality for all. I don’t believe it would be fair to offer up a sacrifice just for one team over another. I feel the football gods may frown upon that. Therefore, I’ve decided to also offer a sacrifice to the football gods on behalf of LSU. Which sacrifice the gods favor, this simpleton will leave in their hands. Here is the sacrifice on behalf of the LSU Tigers for the upcoming game.
May the football gods judge us both accordingly.

I, Mick, do solemnly swear that if victory is achieved by the Alabama Crimson Tide football team on November 5, 2011, I will delete this image from my laptop computer for the remainder of the football season up until the final score of the Allstate BCS National Championship Game in New Orleans, LA on January 9, 2012, upon which time I will once again reserve the right to use the image in any way I "desire".

To the football gods, the following image will serve as a sacrificial offer on behalf of the Bayou Bengals so you may favor them in the Clash of the Titans matchup this upcoming weekend. I do hope, for their sake, that you find that this sacrifice below is to your liking and you will return the favor to them based upon the beauty you find here.
May the football gods judge us both accordingly.
