I know the idea of this is not news but the recent developments are making it look like it may be sooner rather than later. I for one am not a fan of this at all. I found this quote particularly telling, "Deaton (Mizzou chancellor) said he would relinquish his position of chairman of the Big 12's board of directors to avoid a conflict of interest."

I actually do like it.

Best option for SEC. No ACC team is coming, so its either them or someone like West Virginia and in that case sign me up for Mizzou-to-SEC bandwagon.

Exactly.

No one wants this but if we have to get someone let’s get Mizzou. Much better than WV.

If Auburn was in New Mexico and we never played them I would still hate them and their dumb coach and their cheating players.

Yeah well

I agree that no one wants this but I don’t see why it has to be either Mizzou or WV? That’s my question as a fan. I guess the SEC is thinking that Mizzou will provide the best option for expanding the tv market. I’d prefer the SEC go after an east coast school like NC St or really any of those schools. Hell, I’d rather take another Texas school but I know that does not fit the business model.

Morgantown WV

is only about 100 miles from Washington DC. It could be considered east coast.

It is 10 miles to Penn border.

I’d consider it Northern.

I agree.

And I don’t give a **** what Mr. Mason and Mr. Dixon said.

God bless our Dark Lord.

By the way Mizzou to the SEC

probably means Auburn to the East which is just one step away from Auburn off our permanent schedule which would be awesome.

But what will the rednecks in this state fight over for 365 days a year?

Maybe AU can get a home and away going with Troy and they can be rivals.

Their towns look the same to me.

I don't like it

Mizzou doesn’t belong in the SEC. I live in Kansas City and they belong in a conference in the midwest. They are not SEC caliber in fan support and I think their entering in will be like BC in the ACC. They will just hinder our on going rivialries and really add nothing, (except a new TV market) to the SEC. I hope it falls through. The Big 10 didn’t want them and I hope the SEC wises up and rejects them.
