Stanford meltdown....this is how smart people do it

Well, you would think that with a fan base with Heisman hopes and a shot at the national championship (at least a fair chance LSU and/or OSU drop one), the complete beating they took this weekend would have made the meltdown thread easily. Apparently, OTS couldn't find much material, so I decided to go on a quest and search their game day thread as well as their game recap thread.

Now I see why OTS had so much trouble. I was completely astounded. Here's a basic overview of how the smart people "meltdown" after a debilitating loss. I could find no profanity (the last quote is the closest I could find) and some of the words they use make absolutely no sense to me or was a word I thought was dead (dichotomy? wherewithal? contrast?).

Also, with no spelling mistakes (or even punctuation mistakes FFS), I'm really curious to know if they have someone proof-read their statments before posting.

Anyway, I found this humorous the more I looked at it, so here's some quotes to show how the smart people of the world perform a meltdown. I hate to laugh at nerds, but I'm laughing at nerds.

Oh yeah, and the disclaimer. This is most definitely safe for work.

Biggest dichotomy of the game was UO scoring on a beautifully designed play on a 4th and 7 (absolutely the correct call to go for it there)
We just match up poorly
Contrast two TDs off fourth downs v a missed 48 yard field goal the one time we had a decision to make
Very good opponent. They just were
On reflection playing in the untested magic cleatless shoes was probably a mistake
Congrats to the Ducks...
Picking Stanford to win this game was definitely much more risky
Championship hopes are done, but it’s still a great season
I enjoyed that PAT
You can’t turn the ball over in a game of this magnitude, when you are not as physically gifted as the other team
I still feel bad...And frustrated. But still Oregon was the better team
Chip Kelly really has done a great job creating a system and team that dominates the Pac-12 and is able to continually challenge for the national title
Defense was the strength this year….Offense has not been that good
I’d beg to differ but I really don’t have the mental wherewithal to argue the point right now
I don’t know if that makes it more or less painful, but you have to give it to Oregon. Just too much speed, and an excellent coaching job by Chip Kelly and his staff
Chip Kelly is the best coach in the country
And the only thing even coming close to resembling profanity....
They kicked our injury-depleted and mistake-prone butts
