I sure miss him, but am glad to see him having a good day, and helping to stick the knife into $cam Newton. His TDs in Q4 looked vintage Julio. Now, if somebody could only break a Tebow ankle.

I checked the falcoholic game thread this morning and it really pissed me off

They were talking shit about Julio, bad hands, wasted draft pick, blahblahblah.
I posted a few times over there early in the season, but stopped because they are such fair weather fans. Pro fans are so different. They were ready to give up on the team after the first three games. Even Front Pagers!

I watched the game with a Falcons fan and he was pretty happy with Julio.

Didn’t blame him too much for those drops, because the D had good position on them. But of course my friend is a (part time) Bama fan too.

God bless our Dark Lord.

Go read through that thread

You probably have by now, anyway.
Just don’t get it. Seems everybody over there is an expert OC/DC/HC analyst. Always wanna blow it up after the first quarter…
But it was probably a good thing we didn’t have RBR in DuBose’s last year…

Considering what the Falcons gave away to get Julio, I'm not surprised you're seeing that on our boards.

And one of my fellow “front pagers” is a UGA fan. Matter of fact, most of our fans are UGA or GT fans, so expect them to be very wishywashy anyway. They aren’t used to the legacy we Bama fans are nor are they used to being respectful of players. They go one minute loving everyone and then the next yelling to fire/cut everyone. All they see is a NFL leading WR dropped ball stat for the team and 5 draft picks gone through the Julio maneuver. Is it fair? No. But it is what it is.

I for one champion and continue to champion Julio in my posts for our readers. I always try to level their heads by saying “if you see flashes of greatness now, imagine Julio in two to three years.” That usually calms them down.

You have opinions. We all do. Some of yours may have to do with the Falcons. Sign up today and share them.

And I appreciate that, Adam.

Even I felt the Falcons gave up too much to get Julio, and I love the guy, as do all Bama fans who watched every game of his for three years. There is no harder worker, better blocker, or better teammate than he. Sure, he may drop an easy one from time to time, and it’ll make you want to pull your hair out, but then he’ll make an unbelievable play that will drop your jaw.
And I think you and Dave do make a good effort to calm the restless. Just tell them to be patient. They now have two All-Pro WR’s. They just don’t know it yet.
