Arizona State vs. Boise State: Pick 'Em & Open Thread

Las Vegas Bowl Sam Boyd Stadium Las Vegas, NV 7:00 pm CST TV: ESPN |
6-6 (4-5) 4th Pac-12 South |
Not gonna lie, it must suck to be Boise State (and by extension a Boise State fan.) Win all of your games and you get to be in the homecoming court, lose one game and you're relegated to playing a .500 Pac-12 team on a Thursday night. But hey, Thursdays are what they do in Boise so maybe it's better this way. With the way undefeated teams were dropping off during November, all Boise had to do was continue to beat up on their 99.5% cupcake schedule and things would sort themselves out. A poorly kicked 39 yard field goal attempt put Boise in Las Vegas in December rather than New Orleans in January. Be prepared for this to be a Kellen Moore lovefest on the broadcast. Moore is the winningest QB in college football history and there's not a whole lot of interesting story line surrounding 6-6 Arizona State other than the fact that they let dead man walking Dennis Erickson coach the game.

15% are picking ASU?
That seems extremely unlikely.
Of course, it’s not news that lots of people refuse to acknowledge how good BSU is. IMO, they’re one of the best teams in the country, and there’s no doubt about that at all.

A bit of good news
TUSCALOOSA, Alabama – Deion Belue has once again signed with Alabama, according TideInsider.com.
Attempts to reach Belue on Thursday were unsuccessful.
Belue (6-0, 165 pounds) spent the past two seasons at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He signed with Alabama in 2010, but failed to qualify academically.
According to the report, Belue signed Wednesday. An Alabama spokesman said an announcement regarding junior college signees and early enrollees would be sent at a later time.
“Finally I’m headed to The Capstone,” Belue told the website. “I signed with Alabama yesterday. I’m really excited to finally be on my way to Tuscaloosa.”
Belue was a second-team JUCO All-American this season. Belue told the website he would enroll in January.
“Alabama wants me to come in and play corner and also return punts and kickoffs,” Belue said. “I’m eager to get there and go through spring practice. Its been a long wait.”
Watching preseason football is like listening to a girl talk about her day. Boring, and pointless, but you're eager for some action.

I chose ASU for teh lulz.
I will put an asterisk next to an Alabama Crimson Tide "fake national title" the second one is given. That day has not and will never come. But to be fair, I'll give you 1941 if you give me 1945 and the Missing Ring of 1966.
I know Boise...
…is in a sucktacular conference, but it’s obvious they’re light years ahead of a 6-6 Pac-12 team. Could a better match-up for them not have been engineered somewhere?
Burfict will probably still be drafted by the LA Raiders if Oakland do not land him first.
