RBR Friday Random 10

Well folks, the games are set and it's almost Xmas. I'll be back in the U.S. of A. soon and might get to catch some football at a decent hour. But for Bama, it's the long, slow wait till the MNC. So, for now, I guess I'll go back to sleep. Congrats to Jones and Richardson for their award wins yesterday. RTMFR, my friends.

Good luck!

If you get sick of studying, try a bottle of Steven’s. I hear it awakens ancient feelings, like father, stepfather, the son is drowning in the flood. Yeah. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah.

Written in 1981 and that song could just as easily be written today about the current political climate.

FNM!
1 – Faith No More – Just A Man – King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime

I’d never suggest King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime as the place for someone to start to try to get into FNM, but that album has so many peculiar songs that I love and "Just a Man" is one of them. Great, bizarre record. Even though Angel Dust is my favorite FNM record, I think as I heard more of Trey Spruance’s playing with Mr. Bungle and Secret Chiefs 3 that I began to appreciate what he brought to the table for them. I really hate that Jim Martin hung it up eventually though as Angel Dust is one of the best records of the 90s IMNSHO.

+1 for Angel Dust...

Yeah, Angel Dust is

a defo fave of mine, although I like all the FNM stuff. Album Of The Year was kind of a watershed album of theirs..just slightly slicker than previous efforts, but, Patton’s writing kept it edgy. I miss ‘em. (like I miss the old Jane’s Addiction).
