A tape of the first Super Bowl has been discovered and restored
The first Super Bowl in 1967 pitted the Green Bay Packers and their quarterback, former Alabama standout Bart Starr, against the Kansas City Chiefs. Researchers have sought a tape of the broadcast of the 35-10 Packer victory for decades to no avail and many believed it was lost. The good news is the Wall Street Journal reports that a partial tape of the game has been discovered and restored. The bad news is the NFL lawyers are doing their best to keep you from ever seeing it.
