Rode down with three friends from high school that I hadn't seen in many years. We talked about old times and it made the 3 hour ride down go really fast. I had't been to Tuscaloosa since 1993 and I was thoroughly impressed with the changes. I noticed that most of all those ugly green houses are gone with new 4 plexes taking their places and the campus was just beautiful. I guess it being early spring didn't hurt any.....everything was so green and alive. BDS is just magnificant....I never knew that stadium could look so good. You can't help but be impressed with the changes that have been made there. The Walk of Champions was all that I heard it was and then some and the sound of Denny Chimes brought a chill over me. I didn't brave the crowd at the Saban statue unveiling but wtched it on the jumbotron inside the stadium.
I did get to stop in at Egan's and meet a few of the RBR crowd and want to thank Bo for being so nice and for the coke. Did't get to hang around long because my friends had other things they wanted to do and see before we went to the stadium. All in all it was a great time and I promised myself that I would be back this fall. They say that Auburn is the lovliess village on the plains......I beg to differ
