The Jumbo Package: 2011 NFL Draft edition
As the NFL Draft approaches suddenly there are hundreds of stories featuring all of the main players expected to hear their names called on Thursday. With three projected first-round picks in NFL draft in Mark Ingram, Julio Jones and Marcell Dareus, the Alabama Crimson Tide is getting a lot of love as well.
As a way of helping everyone keep track of what is being said about Alabama players I've collected links to stories profiling the players. These are either features or analytical breakdowns of their play - not projections of where they might be selected. And it's by no means comprehensive. So please feel free to let us know of any other articles in the comments.

This is a key quote about Julio
Saban Quoted in the Cleveland paper:
“He changed the whole culture here of the receiver corps in terms of their work ethic, the toughness,” he said. "He’s really unselfish. There were times when we struggled to get him the ball early on in [quarterback] Greg McElroy’s career and he still blocked, played hard, never complained.
Think about the Me First attitude we had with DJ Hall and those guys, and how that has changed, thanks in part to Julio Jones…

Man
It is really nice to have 1st round talent on the field (hell draftable talent), going through the dark ages when UAB and Troy had more 1st rounders isn’t going to happen anytime soon. Wait until next draft season when Alabama might have up to 5 guys go in the 1st round….
By the Rob Rang recently tweeted that James Carpenter could “crash the first round” as well.

True, but
JJ definitely dropped a lot of passes that were relatively ‘easy’ (for him anyway, ha) before and after the broke hand. He was usually good for one or two drops a game. Actually he seemed to be better at concentrating on the ball AFTER his broke hand. I, personally, still wouldn’t have traded him for AJ or anyone else, but facts are facts… I don’t think the nfl folks are selling him short.
